I can get behind much of that. I have a ridiculously large collection of books, thanks to an indulgent mother, and I recently acquired a 3DS myself. The only game I have so far is Animal Crossing.

And I definitely second the comment about distance. It’s rough. I’m way more awkward face-to-face, myself, but I still like to try.

In my spare time, I mostly read and write (fiction and nonfiction, if you were wondering) and try to teach myself to cook.

Haha! Animal Crossing, huh? Actually bought that game recently myself. Wasn't quite prepared for the slow pace, but it's a nice way to pass the time in between activities.

Anyway, it's kinda awkward nowadays. Most've my friends have moved on to college and I... haven't. They don't have much time to hang out with me anymore.

That's why I plan to save up and just travel the world. Get out of this place and find something new. Kinda why talking to people isn't so bad. Each person's a new possible place to visit.

Kind of a dabbler, really. Got a small collection of books, a few games I play occasionally on my 3DS. Try to get outside as often as I can, but I dunno. I mean, talking to people online is great, but I'd much rather be talking face to face.

Which is kinda hard when your partner's half-way cross the world or whatever.

Debating whether or not I want one. Landlord allows pets. But from what I've heard, the things you're giving out are something of a handful.

"Aww fuck it." Hoshiko pushed at the edge her desk, sliding her and her chair across the floor of her room. Coming to a halt against her bed, the teen sighed and let her head fall. Chatting with faceless strangers could only do so much for the girl.

"Besides, only two, maybe three of them are girls. And there hasn't even been an opportunity to flirt!" She threw her hands up in the air. Then, as her hands came down, she ran them through her. Ridiculous. Summer break was not supposed to be this boring. Glancing out her window, Hoshiko rolled her eyes at the continuing downpour. Rain, rain, rain. Nothing but rain for the last week.

"This. Is. Stupid." Still, anything was better than staring at a dash full of people who didn't talk back. At least in her mind. Hoshiko stood up and went to her closet, pulling it open to grab her black raincoat and umbrella.

It would only be a short walk, enough to forget her annoyance. She even knew that she'd be back at the computer mindlessly scrolling within the hour, but again, that didn't matter.

Carefully stepping over a pile of clothes, Hoshiko looked back on her room. What a mess. If she were honest with herself, her time would be much better spent tidying up. Maybe put some books she'd finished back on the shelf. Hang up some clothes. Heck, she could even do the laundry and expand her wardrobe!

"Nah." And with that, she was out into the hall, then out the door, locking it behind her. Down the stairs, two at a time and onto the street. Remember, it was only a short walk.
