More Akatsuki video game headcanons, this time for how they would play Baldur's Gate 3:

Pain- Wizard. He's nice to the companions and helps the a lot of the side characters, but he takes over the Elder Brain at the end. It's for the greater good.

Konan- Cleric. Makes sure to get the best endings for all the companions, and also helps all the side characters. Hates Wulbren. Goes to Avernus wirh Karlach at the end.

Obito- Oath of vengeance paladin. He thinks he wants to take over the brain, but he keeps getting distracted and hit with the urge to restart whenever he reaches act 3.

Kisame- Fighter. Plays in honor mode and even installs mods that make the enemies stronger. Then he nearly rage-quits when he fights Grym, but he refuses to skip the fight. Surprisingly fond of Scratch and the owl bear cub.

Itachi- Rogue. Does multi-player with Kisame. Major completionist. He takes every choice very seriously and spends way too long deliberating over them.

Kakuzu- Warlock. He gets dragged into a multi-player run by Hidan, mainly to be his bodyguard as he starts fights with everyone. Gives Astarion up to the monster hunter and lets Auntie Ethel keep Mayrina. Greatly enjoys robbing Raphael. Hidan makes him keep Shovel as a familiar.

Hidan- Barbarian. You may be expecting him to play Dark Urge, but he refuses to associate with any god other than Jashin, so Bhaal is an imposter in his eyes. This doesn't stop him from still killing every npc he can get away with. For example, he kills the goblins harassing Barcus, then launches Barcus off of the windmill anyway. Regularly gets yelled at by Kakuzu for starting fights with massive groups of enemies.

Deidara- Wild magic sorcerer. Regularly gets the whole party killed with magic surges. Makes Karlach and Lae'zel carry a ridiculous amount of explosive barrels so he can use them in every fight. Blows up the Steel Foundry without saving the Gondians. He hates Gale for being ungrateful about his bomb, and he gets a game over in act 1 by killing Gale and refusing to resurrected him. But of course he save-scums everything so he never faces any consequences for his bad decisions :)

Sasori- Installs a mod to add the artificier class. He actually gets very into the story and enjoys the strategic elements. He claims he doesn't care about helping the side characters, but he's secretly nice to the tiefling children and that orphan in act 3.

Zetsu- Druid, of course. He's the one who plays dark urge, and the black and white half spend the whole game arguing about whether to resist or not. Licks the dead spider.

It may be too obvious who my favorite characters are.

Headcanons about Ame Orphans:

Disclaimer: sad :( but also wholesome :)

1) when they were stuck at their base or on their journey to find jiraya, one of them would sing for the others so help them sleep. It was most often Nagato because he had the softest and prettiest voice. Its one of the things Konan misses the most about Nagato since everything changed.

2) when they slept, they normally held onto or cuddled around Yahiko because he was the warmest, also because konan and nagato wanted to be closer to him.

3) konan worried most about Nagato. She knew he was capable, but she couldnt help but remember that almost dead little boy she found in the road and she tried her hardest to keep him safe.

4) even though they had their own places to sleep during their training years, Jiraya always still found them cuddled up together (old habits die hard) it reminded him of how little frogs will bunch together sometimes and he always let them because its cute. If he had cameras there'd be so many pics.

5) konan hit her growth spirt first and it pissed yahiko off and she would tease him, but nagato was just happy for her and remained the shortest.

6) when they would eat, they wouldn't start until every one of them had food. If one didn't eat, none of them would. It was a pact they made at their first base before jiraya. They later made jiraya join this as kind of a trust bond thing.

7) if one of them woke up with braids in their hair, it meant konan couldn't sleep that night and they would spend the morning trying to get her to tell them what was up. This later happened to jiraya but it was more of a mischievous thing they all 3 did one night because he had them train extra hard the day before.

8) nagato was afraid to have pets after chibi (i think im remembering the dogs name... sorry) but konan would still try to adopt a frog or worm here and there, and it wouldn't go over well.

9) they are trauma bonded idc. Fight with the wall. This is important.

10) they tried to send letters to jiraya after he left, before yahiko died, but they rarely or never made it to him. They would all sign with little frog doodles. Konans would have little flowers next to it.

Its TRULY perfect how hidan is a suicidal immortal. Like what a terrible thing to be. The terror of being infinite but all you want is to end. Crazy work kishimoto. Its so odd because hes so hot headed and those characters are normally portrayed as bursting with spirit and life, but hidan turns it on its head. Hes an angry immortal bursting with rage for Who knows what reasons (👀) whos only point in life is absolute slaughter. Makes me think he really didn't get a choice in being immortal at all? Also kakuzu is a long lasting immortal whos immortality is not as perfect but his goal in life as always been survival. Perfect combination of traits for the two. Kkz is like bro you literally dont have to worry about survival, you're reckless, you rush in, you have no regard for your life, being threatened with death makes you yearn and ive been stuck struggling to survive in this world for almost a century. Fuck you. They're also the perfect "someone to die for vs someone to live for" duo. Kkz finding someone to risk his life for and hidan finding someone to make him more willing to live. Perfect.

Someone said a bit ago that Hidan is the totallyyyyy the lamb, the weapon, and the sacrificer/priest. Which is like. SO PERFECT. but it REALLY got me thinking abt hidans role in jashinism and what that actually means. Yes, he is the weapon which brings justice, yes he is the prayer that does what needs to be done to spare his victims from the fear of death (in his way of thinking ig..) and he is the active lamb on the line and given up. His rituals are extremely brutalistic against the self as well as the cursed, but given hidans SHARED state of his victim, he too is sacrificed and brutalized and even cursed. Got me thinking there are a lot of threes around hidan, like his scythe, but also in the points of the jashin symbol. There are three main points (the corners of the triangle) surrounded and kept together visually by a circle. I feel like there could actually be a meaning to the 3 points and how they affect the ritual? And how they connect hidan to his victim. Bc its a connected bond, and its THAT symbol, it can't be any symbol so im thinking there has to be a reason. It would make sense if the points represent the roles of the jashinist idddkkk or steps in the ritual, and what they mean. My current thoughts, enjoy them. Also been thinking hidan fr is cursed. To immortality. His skeleton form symbolizes that a lot for me.
