Something like a pinned post, I guess

I've had this stuff for a while and used it for my fics (and my own peace of mind), but I've been yapping about Naruto lore for a while, so I imagine people who haven't read my fics have no clue what do I mean when I mention "my calcs"/"my timeline" or whenever anything related to geography pops up, so here's the main resource for both

This is the map I utilize whenever I need to establish where the fuck stuff is going on/how realistic the movements of the characters are/where the hell everyone is in relation to each other. It's a fanmade one, so most of the stuff on the eastern side past Land of Water is presumed by me to be some stuff made up by fans, but considering that all of the events of Naruto take place somewhere within the boudaries of Five Great Nations, none of it really matters. The names of the oceans are also, I guess, made up, but they don't disturb the fragile balance of Naruto's socioeconomic lore, so I am okay with using them, considering that we really don't have the info on them.

Here's the official one available on Naruto Wiki. As you can see it's certainly... less readable than the fan one. I generally try to check if a country on the fan map does appear at some point in Naruto world (be it anime, films or something else) and if it doesn't really contradict the official info regarding these places, then I also utilize it (keeping in mind the fact that if something contradicts manga or databooks, it has lower priority of canonicity to me).

And here's the timeline that I made for Naruto World. Horizontally, we've got the geographic location of the event, while vertically you can see the dates. Dates that are colored in red are for periods when a Shinobi World War was taking place. Obviously, there's A LOT OF stuff contradicting itself within even just manga and databooks, so there's a separate tab for all of the assumptions I make when placing this or that event on a specific spot in the timeline (I know that some of them seem to not fit in the web view of the table, so if something interests you, just ask me directly and I'll send you the xlsx file). I was keeping track of characters, dates and events (and just doing general sanity check) using the works of lovely people before me, so you can see sources on a separate tab.

Again, if there's something in here that seem not to make sense to you, check the assumptions tab, there's probably essay style rambling on why this one fucking line manages to completely fuck up the timeline, thus I choose to ignore it.

I guess that's about it for now? if I'll find anything particularly useful/interesting, i guess i'll add it here as well

Вот нахера эта часть про раздать оружие другим странам и пусть бомбят друг-друга бесконечно, ведь они никогда не усвоят урок. Во-первых это геноцид, а во вторых он даёт только временный и шаткий мир, который уже и так был в период между мировыми войнами. Оставь Пейн оружие себе после первого применения и запугивай им других чтоб не рыпались против линии партии, то тогда да смысл бы был. По сути он не предлагает ничего нового кроме увеличения масштаба войн и последствия от них, которые всё рано ни к чему не приведут по его же словам, ведь люди будут повторять это снова и снова и снова. Будь Наруто не таким тупым, он бы сразил Нагато словесно не цитатками про я никогда не сдамся и книжкой Джираи, а по пунктам доказав что план Пейна абсурд.

Так он тут конкретно и не говорит про раздачу оружия другим странам. То, как я интерпретирую план Нагато, который он анонсирует здесь (в третий раз в третьей редакции потому что Кишимото не мог определиться че его злыдни такие злые), это запихивание мира в цикл мира и боли (вот это он прямым текстом дальше в главе говорит, это его мечта), где мир идет от ужаса и потерь испытанных в период боли, а боль это какое-то одно катастрофическое событие, которое происходит раз в пару десятилетий, чтобы напомнить тупым людям, где вообще раки зимуют и почему клещни друг на друга поднимать нельзя. Нагато не планирует отдавать хвостатое оружие другим странам, но он планирует создать его и запустить цикл мира и боли через него. Нагато еще в этой битве с Наруто выглядит как скелет и кровь из него хлещет только в путь, он скорее всего понимает, что сам банально не доживет до того, когда там через 15-20 лет надо будет херануть по всему новому поколению, чтобы напомнить, почему воевать плохо. Хвостатое оружие, однако, останется и после него, и разъебет все при его использовании (его-то нормально контролировать может только Риннеган + за каким-то макаром Мадара и Обито потому что Кишимото захотелось через 150 глав), поэтому в понимании Нагато создание и торжественный первый запуск хвостатого чуда = циклический пиздец его мечты, и отдавать никому ничего не надо, человеческая дурная натура все сделает.

"во-первых это геноцид" да, вопросы? :D Нагато в отличии от Обито весьма последователен в своих действиях, и геноцид вот вообще прекрасно вписывается в его систему ценностей и планы. Ему искренне поебать кто и в каких количествах там умирает среди его врагов (а враги его это Пять Великих Наций и их скрытые деревни по очевидным причинам), он к ним эмпатии не испытывает, они там скорее статистика причиняющих и испытывающих боль для него. У Нагато в груди две любви (сильное слово, but whatever), Аме и в какой-то степени Акацки, по крайней мере его определенное задевают их смерти, и обоим этим вещам ну никакой мирной жизни не будет, пока существует текущий порядок бесконечной войны, поэтому Нагато и хочет его заменить худым миром.

и да, не забываем о том, что к Нагато и его единственной семье из двух таких же маленьких сироток в один прекрасный день свалился на голову великовозрастный (по меркам шиноби в тот период) долбаеб из Конохи, который в лучшем случае извращенец, в худшем случае просто педофил, и начал маленькому Нагато наваливать какую-то невнятную кашу про "ну, не мы в больших деревнях плохие, а мир такой, и война плохо, но как войну прекратить я не знаю, и мир нам всем очень очень нужен, ну хз короче у тебя волшебные глаза, ты разберешься, ой, бля, у меня сигареты закончились, ну все, ребятня, пока"

на Нагато свалили ответственность глобального масштаба, сказали ему, что у него божественная сила, кинули, ничему не научив, и он в соло прошел через пиздец, после которого у него кукуха слегка поехала. тут комплекс бога и сомнительные моральные ориентиры это минимум что могло бы выйти, "худой мир через регулярный геноцид" это хотя бы что-то реализуемое и как-то связанное с реальностью (в отличии от другой половины начальства Акацки хатьфу на нечесанную башку Обито)

I understand being stressed the fuck out during your final battle and immediatelly after Kushina gave birth, but it was already bad enough it didn't strike you as odd that your masked attacker or "Madara" or "no ordinary shinobi" or Pain's great manipulator was 14 fucking years old at the time of the attack, but with Naruto's memories and prime view to Tobi's bullshit you SHOULD have noticed the similarities with Obito and Kakashi's mysterious Mangekyo
