Levi has to die again and again. 

Every single day.

Each morning he has his breath snatched from his lungs when he wakes up and his eyes fall upon empty, uncreased sheets.

On the nights he can manage to sleep, that is.

This habit of forgetting that Erwin is no longer here is a cruel affliction hellbent on destroying him.

It’s a curse.

When Levi is forced to remember, everything they both were and could have been crumbles in an instant. 

What a blessing it will be to die one final time.

And just be fucking done with it.
