For those that don’t know, Secret Santa is a Western Christmas tradition in which members of a group or community that are randomly assigned a person to whom they anonymously give a gift. Often practiced in workplaces or amongst large families, participation in it is voluntary.
Are we not a big family here? I’d like to think so. And it’s become that time of year.
Somethings to note right off the bat.
You are NOT buying anything. This is something we create ourselves. A fic/art/amv/music whatever you can do I’m sure the other person will love it.
This is anonymous! You do not tell your person what you’re doing until it’s time to give the gift. I’m serious. Don’t you go spoiling everything by blabbing!
You are by no means obligated to participate. But if you expect a gift, you have to give a gift in return.
Because the fandom is so large with so many distinct ships and so on it’s very important that you pay attention to what I’m about to type here. If you don’t follow the rules you risk not getting paired up with anyone.
You MUST reblog this post if you want to participate.
After reblogging you MUST send me what your ship/character/what have you preference. Meaning something you would like to have as a gift. Can be a ship. Just a character. Anything but I need to know. I also need to know what you’re not comfortable writing/drawing/what have you. If you’re writing about a ship that you hate your gift for someone else won’t turn out as nice. And furthermore you probably don’t want fanart of a ship you don’t like either. That’s no good. So I repeat. Send me your preferences and what you do not want to be creating. If it doesn’t matter to you, I still need to know. I will not count you in unless I have this information.
I will message you back once I have gotten this information. Sort of like a confirmation email sorta thing. If I don’t message you back in 24 hours, send me it again. Keep sending it with 24 hour periods until I get back to you. If I don’t get your message, you’re not considered in. Okay? Okay.
While this is anonymous I am going to pair you with these preferences in mind. I want everyone to have fun and be happy making/receiving their gift. I will keep it absolutely fair since I will not be giving/receiving anything as there is no way for me to not know who would be making my gift.
December 1st is when I will close Secret Santa and start handing out who you’ll be giving a gift to. This gives you plenty of time to decide if you want to do this or not.
All gifts must be given/posted to their partner between December 24-25th.

Obviously there is nothing i can do if you don’t do anything and just take a gift. But just know you’ll have really dampened someone’s holiday. And that’s just rude. I’d like to think we’re better than that here.
Also, do not say you’re in unless you’re absolutely sure you can do this. When you drop out someone loses their Santa and that’s really sad. Don’t do that to someone. :(
We’re a big family here so don’t be that guy.
This is supposed to be fun so make sure to have fun. This is not limited to fanfic/art. If you can make something for your partner then do it! AMVs even something silly will be more than welcome, but if you have any questions please message me! Off anon preferably so I don’t clog my dash with all of this.
