He watched as she talked and shook his head knowing that look she was giving him. His arms crossed out of habit along with the tiling of his head before she grabbed his hand. Simon held back the urge to smile and just bit his tongue at the memory for being a speed demon. “Me,drive? Are you asking because you don’t want to drive or some other reason?” He joked as the side of his mouth tugged into a small grin.

Oh. Sakai was always this way. But it worked for them. How everything worked in her life here -- it was different and what was funnier was how blindingly brilliant their relationship was. There was no stipulation or pressure and that alone made her happy. Didn't she think about that already? Ah, short term memory.

A pause again and she dropped her hands to her lap. "Alright listen here on the topic of driving -- shut up." She'd been mostly quiet, just wanting to get him in the car and going.

It was in knowing that they were going somewhere sacred to her that she felt most at home about it. Somehow -- just somehow, she was finally able to show him more of her work. What she considered her life's work. Her secret, her most guarded secret.

It had been a long day for the English Lit. Professor and the last thing he wanted to do was go out that night. There were lesson plans, and tests make, not to mention he had quite a few F’s to mark down on the homework that was to come for his students. But after much contemplation between getting ahead on his work like always or taking a break and going out, Gilme had won. He knew he couldn’t break anymore attempts of trying to go out with her this time.

She had closed her eyes, maybe only for a few moments and now he was acting like this. How coy. How cute. How -- him. She wanted to get him out of the house, she needed a night out with him. Sakai was literally the only man she trusted as much as she did. And everyone word of advice he gave her, she would follow, for the most part. He would know her well enough to know how stubborn she was by heart. And yet he still cared about her. It shocked her. Knowing he did -- at least sometimes. Other times it felt like it was how it was meant to be.

A chuckle to herself more than him. She knew so much more about him than she'd expected too but she learned something every day. Their life wasn't boring and it wasn't full of commitment, it wasn't riddled with unneeded things. She dangled her keys in front of him. "You can drive my car. GPS in it has the coordinates programmed in so -- "
