DISCLAIMER: I am not an expert on this topic and am prone to errors, but I am obsessed with certain concepts and it shows on my search engine and documentary watch history :3

Sooooooo I've ALWAYS been a little bit obsessed with blackholes and I sure do yap about films about it (one of my faves is INTERSTELLAR). When I was conceptualizing this piece, I was doing my film watching for enrichment —aka geeking over black holes and space heheeee >:)))— and I've been really fascinated with the Penrose Diagram of various blackhole solutions. And the Fifth Dimension scene in Interstellar :")

I've always loved the beauty of geometry in design and math even if I am not that good with those, which makes it more interesting to me! I always end up making compositions for pieces that there are just too many words I want to say about it but still can't properly verbalize or even translate properly on art. Still working on it but I so love a challenge! And this piece is really one of those things I would say "man, my skillset is not enough yet but I will make it work!" And they were so right that you do learn by doing it, even if you have no idea how to HAHA.
Then this composition hit like a truck when I was watching about Einstein-Rosen bridges (aka wormholes) AND the Penrose diagram solution for multiple connected wormholes with event horizons aligned at 45 degrees, basically creating repeating mirrors of the multiverse. And yes, I hope you're seeing the amazing parallels of breaking space-time continuum with the Puella Magi Madoka Magica lore.
Here are some symbolisms that I had so much fun to incorporate within the piece:
The modified soul egg design to make a quasi-sand timer but also to follow the Penrose diagram shape that's more egg-shaped and meeting at a single point at event horizon, portrayed as the gravitational red shifting phenomenon (the light loses energy escaping immense gravity that literally the wavelength shifts to red, which is the farthest color in the spectrum with the visible eye)
This is more evident in the WIP stage but there are three planets mirroring each other in the half where God!Madoka and Demon!Homura, symbolizing the dimensional paradox and multiverse.
The poses were referenced from ballet performances, specifically Swan Lake (I am a fan heheh) which also is in line with my idea of a egg-shaped music box (and the soul egg do look like the famed Fabergé eggs and yeah, went ham with the decors ALSOOOO!! See the floor where Magical Girl Madoka and Homura are standing on? The platform was hand-drawn with a very strong nod to a clock-face and a compass (because we know Homura literally broke time to save her north star Madoka).
There were a lot of ideas cooking in my mind but I really was set on my blackhole concept (I know what I want XD). I wanted the piece to be my own gallery of trying and to really incorporate a lot of hidden details for my own amusement~

Mr. Graham himself admits that Mant and Nuorteva in Cesare George Tedeschi’s own essay on the topic are better on insects -it does have more pictures and a table of invasion waves.

The Germans really cooked making "Hobbyless behaviour" an insult. It is both devastating, applicable to a wide range of people and behaviours, and doesn't resort to swearing.
Man ranting on the internet about the Superbowl halftime show or complaining that something is "woke"? Hobbyless Behaviour. Girls mocking another girl for not looking right? Hobbyless Behaviour. Mindless vandalism? Hobbyless Behaviour.
It is more powerful than "get a life" or the English "You're Sad" because it gets to the central point of the matter, and that is wonderful. Danke, Deutsch.

Not only is it insanely rude, but you also do more damage than you think be being such a self-entitled ass about something someone created for free and for fun. “This author” can see what you say.
I was literally about to post a chapter once and got a snide comment similar to this - not addressing other readers, just me - and decided to keep the rest of the story to myself. It's still there. I could post it anytime. But I'm not going to.
I also got a glowing compliment on a fic and went into a flurry of writing, suddenly inspired, then by happenstance got a nasty, impatient comment on that same fic a few days and moved onto writing a different fic that didn't have that associated annoyance.
Like. I am writing for fun. For me. I reread and enjoy my fics all the time because they're exactly the story I want to read. I get the same enjoyment out of a fic wither or not anyone else ever sees it or knows it exists.
I once got a comment on a fic that just read RIP with my username. It's really fucking demotivating. Maybe the work will end up abandoned, maybe it won't, but don't fucking leave this sort of shit on a fic. It's more likely to prevent any future updates than encourage them. Authors are not vending machines. You can not shake us and force the story out (believe us, many of us have tried doing this to ourselves because we want to finish the story but sometimes life and other shit gets in the way).
