hi guys i'm back rambling about Metal Sonic in Sonic Racing Crossworlds because I had another thought

I HATE how in the interactions with Amy, Tails, and Knuckles, they bring up their metal counterparts and how they're like "Why didn't you bring Metal Tails/Amy/Knuckles? I'm sick of you".

I FUCKING HATE THIS!!!!! Sorry gang this is gonna be REALLLY NEGATIVE regarding these character interactions so like, if you can't take it, please don't read this and scroll past.

METAL KNUCKLES/TAILS/AMY HAVE ZERO STORY. METAL SONIC DOES. All of these counterparts only appeared like, once or twice. Metal Knuckles has lingered a little longer but he was in like, Sonic R and Sonic Superstars as a SIDE CHARACTER. Metal Tails and Amy ONLY appeared recently in Sonic Superstars, and do you know what they were for? THE SIDE GAME. THE BATTLE SIDE GAME THAT HAS LITTLE TO NO IMPACT ON THE STORY OF SONIC SUPERSTARS. THESE LITTLE SHITS DO FUCKING NOTHING???

Compare their one/two time appearances with the history of Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic has CHARACTER, a whole damn arc. There is TRAGEDY, there is SORROW, AND HATE AND EVERYTHING. He's a CHARACTER WITH A STORY!!! And these guys? Nothing.

Not only does these rival dialogues mention characters that don't really matter nowadays, it also reduces Metal to what the other three are: nothing but another robot.

The secondary rival introduction dialogues are a little better because they don't mention the other metal copycats, and rather include the characters actual opinions and reactions to Metal as more of their enemy then just an eggman robot.

also i love the OVA reference with Tails.

so yeah rants over. the dark gaia overhaul of the blog theme is really making the negativity flow. THIS IS MY VENT CHANNEL!!/ref

Whipped up some fun new drawing prompts for Kirbtober 2025! More info under cut.

Kirbtober is a Kirby-themed October drawing game that I've been running every year since 2021. Every day in October, there's a new prompt to inspire you to make something fun and creative! The lists are made with drawings in mind, but you're free to explore other mediums! We've had folks make remixes and do fanfiction one-shot type stuff, too. Go crazy!

Artists of all skill levels are welcome! Fun, self-indulgent stuff is welcome and encouraged, as is AU or OC art. Feel free to interpret the prompts however you want, be that silly or serious.

You do not have to make something every day; I personally encourage only doing the prompts that are most fun or interesting for you. If it's helpful for you, it's totally fine to make things in advance. This is supposed to be a fun thing to do with other fans, if it stresses you out, please take a break or scale back.
