on the one hand: i knew italy would do better than most thought they would, and i feel very vindicated by the women winning against france & japan and making it to the knockout round, as well as the men having very close losses to two tournament mainstays.

on the other: i knew this because i am one of the very few people who normally despises them, due to GB playing them and often losing (both the games and promotion) across multiple tournaments in the last 2 years

#i think i'm tentatively rooting for them to do well to spite the tournament regulars #but i think i'll seethe if the men manage to get to the semis or further. i might celebrate too but idk #yes i'm jealous and have very good reason to be

two months on from this, he's so inconsistent that he's consistent. if he's had two bad games in a row, he'll probably have a good game next, and he never has two good games in a row. it's fascinating, but not ideal. and in other news i think every lcfc fan is in a state of despair after that southampton match
