Hey does anyone know the IPA for the sound of the letter d in "Zedaph"? Because it sure isn't a regular d. When I first heard the name, I though it was "Zeraph" with an r. Like "Seraph" but with a z.

I wonder where else in English I can find this sound

Taki networking ostatnio uprawiam, że głowa mała. Właśnie się się dowiedziałam, że kolega z wydziału od roku mieszka na moim osiedlu — odkryłam sąsiada i bardzo się z tego cieszę. Do tej pory było mi smutno, że nikt z wydziału nie mieszka w moich rejonach.

Poza tym zawarłam wiele przydatnych znajomości na praktykach.

Mam w telefonie dwie karty sim — jedna na ludzi, druga na potwory

Potrzebuję żeńskich form wyrazów dźwiękowiec i radiowiec. No więc utworzyłam: dźwiękowczyni i radiowczyni (jak kierowczyni i zbawczyni).

Dźwiękowczyni brzmi nieźle, przywołuje skojarzenie „ta, która czyni dźwięki”i to jest ładne skojarzenie, podoba mi się.

Gorzej jest z radiowczynią, no bo co ona robi z tym radiem, wczynia? Jakoś nie potrafię tego zobaczyć jako „czyniąca radio”.

Dźwiękowczyni niby też się kończy na -wczyni, ale jakoś lepiej to wypada. Może dlatego, że można to sobie wyobrazić jako „dzwięków sprawczyni”. Tutaj jakoś to w nie przeszkadza.

Tylko jak nie radiowczyni, to co? Radiowica? Jak Południca? Radiówka?

Last week, we got the first warm rain. It was cleansing, great, delightful. I thought it was gonna turn into a thunderstorm but no, it turned into 3 more rainy days (cold rain) + another 2 cold days. It was so cold and the heating in my apartment block has already been turned off until next winter!!

I hope we get warmer days soon!

Coco's hair looks like canola flowers under a setting sun. Canola flowers are yellow during the day, but as the world gets darker, they start to look more green, and eventually take on the color of darkness as the night comes.
