"Habit and routine have an unbelievable power to waste and destroy." -Henri de Lubac
"Habit is either the best of servants or the worst of masters." -Nathaniel Emmons
God tells us to act. He tells us to love. We must walk humbly with Him (Micah 6:8). If we fall into ruts and become numb, we miss out on the present moment and opportunities at every turn to learn, grow and love. God has so much in store for us, and if we are blind to and lazy about what He's revealing, how are we supposed to bring Him glory? We must earnestly obey and walk with Him, not become static and oblivious.Â
What areas of your life have become routine instead of intentional?
The loss of language
As storytellers, we value language and words and idioms and dialects. The conversation must continue and it must remain rich.
In an effort to preserve the 3,000+ languages at risk of disappearing by the turn of the century,Google has collaborated with the Endangered Languages Project. Check out the video to catch the vision.

Beautiful day, beautiful words
"Well, I don't know what will happen now. We've got some difficult days ahead. But it really doesn't matter with me now, because I've been to the mountaintop. And I don't mind. Like anybody, I would like to live a long life â longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over, and I've seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land. So I'm happy, tonight. I'm not worried about anything, I'm not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord."

This era has been dominating my life lately, and I love it. Wish there was more of this nowadays.
The cutest.

Article from Reject Apathy on the quiet rise of slavery here in the Midwest.
"The fact that many people do not realize human trafficking is happening in their own neighborhoods is one of the main reasons the industry continues to grow. Yet ignorance is just one of many reasons sexual slavery thrives in the Midwest."
It started with a trip to New York.
Fifteen-year-old Marlene Carsonâs neighbors promised her and three girlfriends tickets to a Broadway show during Memorial Day weekend in 1978. The young girlsâ parents had even agreed to the trip, since they trusted their neighborsâa friendly married couple from Columbusâand knew their children would only be gone for a few days.
But everything changed when Carson and her friends were getting dressed for the play.
