That moment when you need glasses but you canāt pay the dude when heās done shining lights into your eyes.Ā
Iām a Biology Major, and this is how your humor and romantic endeavors progress through the years.Ā
You've heard of college now get ready for
soul crushing debt
The whole aesthetic of drinking out of jars sounds cool until youāre doing it because youāre too poor to buy new glasses.Ā
Yoga Snobs
This is a phenomenon that baffles and frustrates me.Ā
So Iām on doyouyoga.com which is by far my favorite yoga website of all time, there are TONS of free 30 day meditation/yoga series on this site. The articles are generally informative, know what theyāre talking about, funny, and the classes are down to earth and nothing so spiritual that you feel like you've walked into someones place of worship instead of your weekly yoga class. Altogether good stuff and I recommend it.
But the articles run on a general theme of yoga and meditation written by professional yogis, addressed to everyday folks like you or me, who (may or may not) has a job, school, kids etc. Where they say stuff likeĀ āyou know youāre making progress in your practice when you always have yoga clothes in your bag and skip drinks for yoga class.ā orĀ āyou know that moment where your in (insert complex inversion here) and blah blahā you know, that kind of stuff.
Whatever man, Iām so done with that attitude. I know they mean it in a nice way, I know that, but it feels more like something another pro yogi would understand. Iām not getting up at 5am and I donāt really go running and I do yoga at home because I canāt pay $18 for a yoga class, not even once a week, and I donāt have 90min, I have like... 15 at the end of the day.

Happy Monday!
I hope everything is smooth sailing for everyone today.
What's Monday like for you guys?
hope i get the right dose for monday !Ā
Time to get real yogis.
This is the opening post to a hopefully helpful blog. So let me introduce myself. My name is Liz, Iām an underpaid, overworked, undergrad in my senior year of my bachelors. Iām also sort of a yogi, or a yoga person, or whatever.Ā
The thing is I do yoga, and I meditate, often infrequently and without a lot of money or time, and lets face it, I canāt sequence my poses that well by myself, or I get so caught up in stress that I forget that meditating can actually chill me out. Iām not bendy enough for a lot those super cool poses, and I have a little cellulite around the edges (that Iām working on getting rid of.)
When I look for yoga resources, or I follow another yoga blog, excited for tips, tricks, or resources, Iām often disappointed. They either want me to pay, or the blogs are a bunch of posts about getting up at dawn and sitting on the beach and loving life, or eating totally green or something. I like these things but I canāt do them, I live in a cold place and I like wine... and meat and all that stuff.Ā
So hereās a blog with no ego stroking for myself, this is a resource blog, Iāll post all the cool links, free videos, meditation stuff, etc. I do all the research, you get all the cool stuff. And maybe some of those cool aesthetic pictures we all like, of coffee and surfing and stuff.
Iām really excited to see where this goes, if it goes nowhere, oh well.Ā
Later yogis!
