The Inquisitor Comte Enoch Adaar, Herald of Andraste, Hero of Thedas, Dragon of The Inquisition
Just finished DA:I, all the dlcs included, kinda wanna fucking crawl in a hole and die because that means my Inquisitor’s story is over. I love my Inquisitor he’s been my favourite game protagonist in the series and I’m not ready to let go. I’ve also played all the other games and don’t have the newest Xbox so I can’t play Veilguard as soon as it comes out to see how my poor baby man is doing after ten years. Anyway. Fucking kill me I can die happy and incredibly sad. Poor fella suffered so much in that ending.
I love drawing my baby boy Inquisitor Enoch Adaar as the saddest looking fella in all of Thedas. (His boyfriend is leaving for Tevinter and he’s a Qunari mage)
Every once and awhile I get a Maker delivered brain blast of thought. So like- in the beginning of DAI remember the line where Corypheus says “bring forth the sacrifice”? And you know how they never explain WHY they need a sacrifice? However The Herald arrives just as the line as said? Man the real sacrifice WAS The Herald all along huh.
I hope Veilguard pulls another Merrill on me. Nothings gonna beat DA2 in showing that sometimes the “nice” way isn’t the good way, but MAN I could use some real consequences for my actions again. Enough of the war table saying something went bad, I wanna experience it first hand again.
My favourite Dragon Age protagonist is The Inquisitor actually. I’ve played DAO and DA2, and while The Warden is cool for the legacy they leave but has the personality of plywood, (I was not gonna let my Surana survive it was too good an ending anyway.) and Hawke is best within DA2 (They have a great story in DA2 but they don’t leave as interesting a legacy as The Warden. The Mage and Templar war is Ander’s legacy not Hawkes.) While in comparison I actually really loved the narrative of The Inquisitor not truly surviving The Temple Of Secret Ashes as a person, on that day being reborn as an idea not an individual. While as the game progresses your interactions with companions show how your closest friends can’t even divorce The Herald from The Person. I just love that tragic hero storytelling, but because unlike Hawke you don’t have such a well seated pre established background or family, it lets you write your own storyline for The Inquisitor. Like for me Inquisitor Adaar is a stoic yet merciful man driven to help as many people as he can, his desire to help as many people as he can pushing him to utilize any opportunities (Sit In Judgment usually leads to new agents) to further his cause. He’s unfamiliar with Qunari culture as a whole, (I think it’s reasonable to assume with how many questions your Adaar asks about Qunlet words they’re unfamiliar with even Tal-Vashoth culture) an outcast in human society, and all but banned from joining the Qun due to being a mage. Like that kinda character speaks to me and that’s because I’ve written a good deal of it with the provided lore and content from the game. I hope Veilguard lets me do it again.
Watching the emotional Solas and Lavellan writing and art being made and all I can think is: Solas casually called the Qunari savages to my Adaar’s face. I’m sorry Mr. Egg but I only wish to turn you into a shitty omelette for that.
I’m finishing my marathon of the Dragon Age games so I’m celebrating with some art of my heroic trio. Also while working on this I realized The Inquisitor in DAI essentially acts with the power over the faithful of the Chantry only The Divine is really meant to have in her absence, meaning The Inquisitor is essentially The Grey Divine.
I still can draw lmao
SEMI-FINALS ARE OVER...
Pepole died. Cities burned. And after weeks of carnage, two pepole emerge from the ashes, ready to square of one final time. They might've been friends in another time... but now they will have to fight to the death. To finally determine once and for all... who is the most based.
This is the end. This is the finals.
In one corner, a mute woman who loves/hates puzzles. On the other, nine guys who kill for a living. Who will win? You decide.
Get ready and tell your friends that the final poll starts this friday, may 19th, 10pm CEST.
