omg. thinking about a scarian au where scar is an elf, specifically an archer elf, and in that culture giving someone a handmade bow is a profession of love, and in more serious cases, is considered a marriage proposal. so grian asks for a bow, just wanting a simple one, and not realizing what that means to an elf. and scar, being deeply in love, makes him the most beautiful and deadly bow he possibly can. grian is astonished to receive it, and thanks scar from the bottom of his heart, bringing it home. grian only finds out what scar meant once he shows the bow to pearl, who immediately recognizes what it means.

now grian's stuck in a sticky situation- accidentally accepting a love proposal from his best friend, all while confronting the fact that he's also in love with scar as well.

This is an idea that a friend suggested months and months ago that I’m happy I finally got to put on proverbial paper (in which grian thinks it would be hilarious for (non deviant) mumbo to do some goofy hacking to mess with doc! And, uh. Naturally, mumbo comes back with no recollection of the command and also every time he tries to say grian’s name, an audio clip of doc saying “‘idiot” comes out instead)
