( oh god um basically i love the japanese VA for Vaan and this is a dumb reason why you also should:
in the japanese version of FFXII vaan sounds like he's saying Oiyoiyoi to Ashe to indicate her to jump, but he's actually saying Tobioriro! which means jump down.
2ch users couldn't understand what he was saying at first so everything that got lost in translations became a joke. Thus this video. )
“Moogletown huh..” Vaan folded his arms and raised his head, stepping forward into what he guessed was the court of the town, kinda like Rabanastre. He felt himself a little overwhelmed by the new surroundings, but excited nonetheless as he’d been thrown into a new adventure.
“Helloooooo!”
Unable to read the sign, Miluda didn’t know what was the name of this town. It mattered little- if what the summon said was true; then she would hear its name from the inhabitants by passing.
The buildings stretched upwards; the tall structure formed a set of walls and trapped her into one direction. Finding the streets a bit busy, the swordmaiden tried to weave through the waves of people only to bump headfirst into a young boy. Seeing him for the first time, Miluda took a few steps back. “I beg pardon.”
Vaan found himself fumbling over his feet and trying to find the right way back up on his feet. He groaned and rubbed his head, finding his eyes trying to focus on the person he had bumped into. At the words she spoke, he couldn't help but feel some what intimidated and once he'd had his vision back he found himself standing tall and keeping focus.
"No it's okay!" Vaan said, waving his hands in front of him. Judging by the look on her face and her bumping into him, she may have been new about this town. "Hey," He crossed his hands behind his head as he raised a brow and tilted himself slightly to the side "Are you new here?"

Gabranth stared in astonishment. Here he was, having a conversation with the Dalmascan orphan whose life he had utterly destroyed. And yet, the boy was curious to know more of him.
“My duties consist of paperwork, mostly,” he admitted. “Frequently I must personally interrogate a particularly dangerous prisoner, to extract some bit of information that cannot be entrusted to any other.” By that, he meant torture. “The work is difficult. Mind-numbing, and time-consuming.” He turned to Vaan and quipped, “I must recommend that you aspire to a different profession.”
Vaan slowly lowered his arms to his side as his expression began to fall and the colour drained from his face. He'd thought he'd completely forgiven Gabranth for the death of his brother, but something hadn't settled deep within him. He tried to think of the circumstances, he could try to sympathise but the man that stood before him condemned his own brother. To suffer, to be a shadow of a man.
"Nevermind, you're right," Vaan tried to smile, his usually cheery demeanour returning as the colour returned to his face. "I plan to be a sky pirate anyway, the very best!"

He lowered his hands flat against the table as he calmed from his response. Migelo took care of them for so long, he would rather face a Wild Saurion on his own than speak any ill of him.
Vaan sighed at the response, his hunts kept him occupied and we're easing each and every time he fell a beast. He felt stronger, able to defend himself with a strength he found himself growing more and more fond of it. He smiled as he looked away from the board and folded his arms with his elbows on the bar. "So I guess I'll just sit here and wait!"
