okay emmy, i’m putting you to the test. what exactly is it you like about mark besides how attractive he is? and i mean MARK mark, not the way you portray him in your writing. name one thing.

He is not the bad guy.

I’m sure this can be argued until kingdom come, but Mark isn’t the bad guy in Assassination Nation.

He’s an angsty, high-horse-riding fuckboy who needs to learn how to eat pussy and take an anger management course to deal with his horseshit.

And I’ve spent the last four YEARS surrounded by guys just like, if not worse than, Mark. I’m the only girl in an automotive shop, I have guys around me I WISH could be just like him. The only difference is, Mark had moments where he loved lily. If you choose to ignore them, I can’t have an argument.

What he did to lily was WRONG. I don’t condone any of it.

But he isn’t the villain in that movie. He’s just a turd.

And sometimes, if you can look past the “turd-ness” and stop worshipping the ground Lily and her friends walked on and watch Mark closely, you’d see just a normal person, who acts irrationally out of fear of humiliation.

Just like everyone else.

And I sincerely sorry if you find me vile for my views, but let’s agree to just disagree. This is a positive corner of the fandom where everyone can say almost anything and we can discuss it.
