and i don’t really care if nobody else believes—
‘cause i’ve still got a lot of fight left in me.

“I suppose it will be.” He shrugged, he rarely actually participated in the games, they weren’t really his speed. “It is in the nature of demigods to be competitive, sometimes idiotically so.”
She raises her eyebrows slightly, and a grin pulls at her lips. “Believe me, I am well aware.” Thousands of years of hanging around demigods— and being one herself, though she is first and foremost a Hunter of Artemis— will give you that knowledge. “However, it does tend to work for them, sometimes.” Not always, but sometimes.
if i haven’t gotten to a greeter yet for u im sorry but im runNING OUT OF IDEAS also im tired as shit so: im sorry i will get them done eventually probably

“Good point.” Carol shouldered her bow and sighed. “It’d be pointless to argue about it until after the fact, though, so why don’t we just, you know, play the game?”
Phoebe smiled, and grabbed her own bow. “You’re right. It’s about to start, we should head into the woods.” She stood up, and started walking. “We’re defending the flag, right?”

Tristan laughed boisterously at her comment and stepped towards her, his hands raised slightly.
“ I dunno, sweetcheeks, you seem pretty female and not me. ”
He’s unarmed, shown by his hands raised, but the scowl on her face shows that she’s pretty close to grabbing an arrow and threatening to shoot.
“My name is not sweetcheeks. And it would be perfectly correct for me to refer to myself as me, as I would be referring to myself and not you.”

“3,000 wow. More than Zoe then.” Bianca nodded. “I can imagine it does. But I bet you have lots of stories.”
“Yes, although I do not think much longer.” She squinted, and tilted her head, as though trying to remember. “Probably, anyway.” She smiled, and nodded. “A few.” An under exaggeration, but that should be obvious by her grin. “Anything you might want to hear about? Points in history you want details on?”
there’s all these icons of my fc on the phone and every time i see them it’s just like ‘yes 911 hi someone is pulling some major bullshit they’re gonna need an ambulance for when i shoot them in the leg’

Honestly, if she hadn’t recognized him, she might’ve shot him. However, generally mortals don’t just wander the middle of the woods, and at second glance, she was almost positive it was him.
“Lord Apollo. I trust you’re at our camp for a reason?” Gods don’t generally randomly visit the hunters, although she supposes they could. If they wanted.

❛ Ah, thank you, Phoebe. That is really thoughtful of thee. ❜
The lieutenant took the offered mug && simply held it in her hands for a moment’s time, enjoying the feeling of her fingers finally warming up.
❛ Come sit with me. ❜
She smiled and nodded slightly, a silent you’re welcome, and was about to turn and leave when Zoë asked her to sit.
“Gladly.”
Another smile, and she settled beside Zoë, taking a sip of her own hot chocolate. She glanced up at sky; no light pollution. At least not here; she vaguely missed when there was no light pollution, but the world spins on.
“It’s a nice night. Beautiful view.”

“Only because I have great teachers like you and Zoe. Thanks Phoebe” Bianca grinned, pausing a few minutes. “How long have you been a hunter?”
She smiles, turning back to her own bow. “You’re welcome.” There’s silence until Bianca speaks, and Phoebe lets her arrow fly before answering. “A few thousand years? Over three thousand. I don’t keep track, it becomes pointless, really.”

“ Me…? ” He replies, slightly tentative. The girl had a bow and he didn’t want to find out if she knew how to use it.
She’s very tempted to roll her eyes at the man’s voice, but she resists, instead pulling the bow closer to herself and taking another couple steps towards him, so she can see the owner of the voice. “Who’s me? Technically we are all me.”

“I dunno, I think the fact that they play this more often than us tips the scale their way.” Carol blew auburn bangs from her eyes. “Besides the fact that it’s their home turf. I’m just saying, don’t let your guard down around these guys.”
Phoebe nods, although when she speaks, it’s not to agree. “But we’re more of a team than they are. And some of us have played here before, although the landscape does change sometimes.” She glances off to the forest before looking at Carol. “I think we’re at least equals. Lots of the campers seem to think numbers will win them the game, but I don’t think so.”

“Annabeth tries harder when she’s competing with Thalia. She says it’s a sister thing.” He shrugged, his tone flat and not particularly caring.
“Good call.”
“I’ll believe that.” She can tell the conversation is dying, and does almost nothing to help revive it.
“Although, whether she hears it or not it will be treated like a challenge, yes? It always is.” It’s a game for fun, but it’s always more competitive than it’s supposed to be. Hunters and campers don’t always get along.

“what time is it? like, one-ish? we should have time.”
“thank the gods. it’s been way too long since we’ve made a seven eleven trip.”
greenhatsandskullrings.
Bianca grinned up at her. “Thanks Phoebe!” She adjusted her foot, shooting again.
Phoebe smiled as the arrow flew, and nodded. “Much better. You’ll be an expert in no time.”
+ perspicxcious.
“Do you know where Thalia went? I was talking to her ten minutes ago...” Truth be told, she just doesn’t want to wander Camp Half Blood by herself, or go back to the Artemis cabin.
