“Even if I were able to sleep, I’d do so better with you here.” Nico admitted, shifting onto his side so he was facing Will. His cabin was too empty at night, he found, he was okay being alone during the day, but at night the total darkness reminded him too much of the crushing solitude and claustrophobia of being crammed in that jar.
Moses jumped up on the bed, pacing over top of them to find a place to sleep. He picked Will’s leg, kneeing and settling down, purring happily. Nico couldn’t suppress a grin, “See? Now you can’t go.”
A small smile appeared on Will's face when the tiny black cat jumped up on the bed and chose his leg as a place to sleep, smile widening when he noticed that Nico was grinning as well. "Yeah, I guess I'm stuck here now. There is no way I could ever move a kitten off my leg and somewhere else."
But he was happy for an excuse to stay here. He really didn't want to have to walk through the dark back to his own cabin or the couch, as that would mean turning on his flashlight and probably disturbing Nico even more than he already was. Instead he shifted his upper body- leaving his legs where they were since Moses seemed quite content where he was- and nestling against Nico, gently pressing himself against the warm being there in the bed with him, closing his eyes after a moment even though he had no intentions of sleeping yet.
"You know I love you, right?"
