Howdy! WELCOME TO THE SHOW!

It's a new year, and a new comic! ... For me, I don't know what your comic situation looks like.

Anyway hi!! I'm DoomDragon6. I write webcomics. I've been cooking this one for about a year and a half now, and it's finally ready to be shown to the public! Chapter 1 is complete and will coast along for the next several months, where hopefully!! (This is where you come in.) Hopefully!! The comic makes enough money to sustain itself. Otherwise I might not be able to afford it. (I pay an artist you see.)

Speaking of artist! This is a perfect opportunity to introduce ATARIBETCH! Our artist! Or Autari. I dunno, he changes his name sometimes, I can't keep up. I been workin' with this dude for over a decade now on various projects and my other webcomic, RPG World: Fan Revival! If you're young enough to enjoy Monster Prom you're probably not old enough to know what RPG World is. But hey, go check it out! I'd love it if you made it your new hyperfixation.

How should one cope after seeing exit polls for the presidency votes [idk how it's in english, basically when you vote for a president] the liberal candidate is a few % away from tieng with a dude who's friends with neo nazis, and 3rd and 4th in voting are straight up antisemite who extinguished a menorah in the parlament, and a guy who wants to delete anti-hate speech laws, except for the "hurting someones religious feelings", i. e. Wants catholics to say batshit shit without consequences?

Well, I’ll repeat the advice I gave in the tags, then - if you can’t buy alcohol, and you still have school to worry about, then these are problems that are too big for you. They’re too big for any individual person, but they’re especially too big for a kid.

The best substance you can deal in is friendship. If you haven’t already, start planning regular hangouts with your friends. Play some video games together. The best thing you can do when a problem is out of your hands to the extent that it is for you is to distract yourself. Get your mind off it. Let the feelings pass through you.

We live in scary times, but there are people fighting it. You have to keep that in mind. The media isn’t covering it, but there’s people taking action against the fucking bonkers politics coming out of a lot of governments right now daily.

You are not alone in your fear and anger. You might not be able to do anything really - and that’s okay! - but the people that can, are.

Trust in them. One day, it’ll be okay.

But for now, go watch a new anime series with some friends about it. The best thing you can do is look out for yourself and the people around you. Good luck, kiddo.
