I've decided that bakukami is a good ship. Idk if it counts as a rarepair, but honestly? I think they'd be an unexpectedly good fit for each other. Now back in 2020, my ride or die bakugou ship was in fact kiribaku, and I still enjoy that ship a lot don't get me wrong but with my current character versions of the cast in my head, they aren't necessarily endgame for me. I absolutely think Kirishima has a crush on Bakugou at some point, but I don't think evverrr... goes anywhere. And if it does, the relationship kind of just fizzles out overtime.

Because Kirishima is a very, very, very puppy-love sort of person who loves the idea of grand romantic gestures and moments. And Bakugou just doesn't know how to reciprocate that, and feels almost a little guilty for not being able to (demiaro woes). It just wouldn't work out, Kirishima needs someone to match his energy and Bakugou isn't the one to do that. Sucks, but in the end it's better for both of them.

Now: Why Kaminari? Well. Kaminari is a low-key person, and while he might idolize romance and daydream about that sort of fantasy, when it comes to actual application, I think he's more chill and willing to follow the lead of his partner. And Bakugou needs that sort of steadiness. I like the idea that Kaminari had a small boy-crush on Bakugou as teens (mf pulling everyone and for no good reason why do they even like this guy/j), and that sort of got rekindled as adults, with Bakugou just enjoying being around Kaminari bc of his overall attitude.

Kaminari also wouldn't be wary of Bakugou in the slightest, not afraid to tick him off lmao. If Bakugou is angry, Kaminari will just let him be angry while making an off-handed comment about it. And I think that works better for Bakugou at calming him down more than someone actively trying to get him to calm down.

Kaminari: Dude chill out it's not that deep.

Also Kaminari wouldn't expect anything super romantic or affectionate. He'd be more than happy to just be.

Tldr: Bakukami is a better comfort for Bakugou

I was just curious about how writing is going? It's obviously 100% fine if it's not going at all. I'm just curious and I miss you and your writing!

I'm very slowly rereading your fic and noticed I forgot to comment on your last chapter lol. I only read it once and I'll prob comment on it once I read it a 2nd time.

I don't think you really understand how much this fic consumes me and others. Your writing is genuinely so amazing! I think I heard you were gonna do a Katsuki pov and I'm so hyped about it! I'm also hyped about a non-disastrous situation fuelled scene with the squad fully aware that those babies are together!

ahhh writing is going slow lately🥲 it's difficult to get right when I'm not in the right mindset. I haven't had a lot of free time this past year---but I'm trying to get focused and lock in on it again!! I am determined to finish BIJALFYL🧎this I swear

definitely will have katsuki pov in the near future (ambitiously I want to post two chapters back-to-back from both povs, since I've been working on the next two chapters at the same time lol) and while I love angst, I'm also looking forward to cooking up some more fluffy wholesome scenes between the two of them and their friends 💛🧡💛🧡💛
