All JJ needs to do is flash those eyes and a smile for Emily to say yes. JJ knows that it works too. We’ve seen Emily cave again and again.

You can tell it bothers her that JJ is the only one who has this strong of an effect on her ability to stand firm in her decisions. One look and she gives in. She’ll always be soft for her blackbird.

From my perspective, when JJ says “Oh no, please, don’t say me” after the look Emily gives her, Em senses rejection and immediately backtracks to protect herself by shaking her head and stammering “I mean..uh..we never got that far.” JJ looks down and bites her lip cause she sees right through her. I think Emily definitely got that far. It scared her that the answer was only ever going to be JJ.

The way that Emily showed up for JJ in 18x03 was beautiful. Constantly checking in, comforting smiles, soft touches, and just being gentle with her.

Throughout the season, I think we’ll see Emily attempt to make everything okay for JJ in a situation where absolutely nothing can be okay. She feels JJ’s pain and all she wants to do is take it away.

Knowing Emily, the first thing she did after Will died was make a promise to him that she’ll look after JJ and the boys for the rest of her life since he can’t be there.

my favorite part about this scene is when jj gives emily those eyes. emily would do anything for that woman. jj is her weakness and emily knows she’ll never be able to say no.
