Aikatsu on Parade! news so far

the Aikatsu Friends! anime will be ending, but the new anime series Aikatsu on Parade! will be starting October 5th at 10:30 am, and will continue to air on Saturday mornings.

it will star the new idol Kiseki Raki, a JHS 2nd-year student at Star Harmony Academy. as some have guessed, she’s voiced by Aira Rin, who’s also the seiyuu for Wakaba. (Wakaba clearly still exists in the new series, so I’m not entirely sure how that will work.)

after receiving a special Aikatsu Pass from “the Aikatsu engineer lady”, Raki is transported to a mysterious area with many doors to other Aikatsu worlds. there she meets past aikatsu idols and learns about all different kinds of aikatsu in order to follow her dream of creating her own brand and PR dress.

the first song from the new series is the one in the PV, Idol Katsudou! on Parade ver., featuring all of the past MCs singing together with Raki. you’ll be able to play it on the Aikatsu Friends game starting tomorrow!

finally, to celebrate the start of Aikatsu on Parade, a special contest will be held to pick an idol to receive a brand-new PR! you can choose from basically every idol in every aikatsu series. the voting will be done via the game (1 play with aikatsu pass = 1 entry), so unfortunately you can’t vote from outside Japan. those who are able to play have until September 16th to collect entries and until September 17th to vote!
