Brain, of The Sky Division, is 21 years old with Chicago and Anchorage roots. He is currently doing his thing in Seattle, performing as the DJ of TSD and spitting a verse here and there. He is well known for his dope mixes on SoundCloud. Of course, we cannot neglect to mention his suave graphic design skills as he creates his own cover art and as well as for many others. Brain is a true old soul with A Tribe Called Quest and Andre 3000 as a few of his biggest musical influencers to say the least. Everything about the Brain is debonair and you feel that through the art that is produced.

Another member of TSD, Webb aka Slim Delaphante, and Brain both rapped on the track, “Marshawn Lynch” with Vespucci Beach on the beat.

This is very exciting news as the Harlem raised rapper is known for his unique, innovative styles. Earlier this year, A$AP Rocky collaborated with Guess jeans channeling 90s youth and music.

He has definitely opened the doors for many African American artist in the fashion industry. In June, A$AP Rocky was selected as the face of Dior Hommes’ 2016-17 Fall and Winter collections, making him the first African American as the face of Dior. Dior released a statement describing him as, “the empowered masculinity of today’s urban dandy.”

Keep an eye out for A$AP Rocky, I get the feeling he has quite a few more creative tricks up his sleeve.

Slaying as per usual, Rihanna never ceases to infatuate all of us. It’s almost been two years since Puma made the smartest decision, ever, to make Rihanna the creative director for the brand.

Rihanna was stirring the headlines way before the good gal turned bad. More recently, she has trail blazed her way into the fashion industry with her designs for Puma. Rihanna debuted her line, FENTY, at this year’s Mercedes-Benz Paris Fashion Week. Her designs were beautifully constructed and they really brought out her edgy, risqué aesthetic.

How to find the best color palettes for your room! Pantone is the go-to color guide for any artsy project or styling. Pantone envisions itself as, “the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries.” It provides many services, but is known for setting the color(s) of the year and seasons.

Colors are important because they have meaning and evoke emotion. Therefore, the color scheme of your room may have an influence on your mood.

I personally like to pair white for cleanliness, beige to match easily with other colors, and gray for neutrality. I use the more blander colors for bedding. I like to intertwine bright pastel colors as accents, too. For example, adding a smooth, satin, mauve pillow or a crazy, furry, pastel blue carpet. Accents of blue are also a must for me because it feels calming and inviting.

There is a myriad of different color schemes on Pantone’s website. Take a gander to choose, or create a color scheme for your room that is appeasing to the eye and soul.

Do you have a goal?

Taking the first step:

Write it down and plan it out. If there’s any piece of advice that I’ve heard, didn’t listen to, and should have, it's writing down goals and planning for it! It’s a visual process from start to finish and it helps get you motivated.

Make goals that are SMART:

• Specific- who, what, where, when and why

• Measurable- concrete criteria for measuring progress toward a goal

• Attainable- within the availability resources, knowledge, and time

• Relevant- worthiness; meeting needs

• Timely- enough time to complete a goal

Admittedly, writing down your goals and plans does seem a little overwhelming at first. I guarantee that once you get started, your level of confidence in attaining your goals will significantly increase.

Darius, back at it again with cool waves debuting his newest visual to his song, “Dos Equis.” The rapper, songwriter, and producer is a 23-year old dreamer and musical innovator trying to make it out of Alaska with all of his marbles. He is well known for the infamous song, “Hipster Chick Girl” which also happens to still be one of my favorite songs, along side F*** SXSW and The Regular Tape as collectives. “How Did We Get Here” is an album Darius put out more recently.

Darius teamed up with his older brother, Dustin, aka SK8GOD, for the directing and editing of the video and production of the beat. Sk8ty has recently produced a beat that Curren$y was featured on. He also released, “Sk8ty Perry The Beat Tape” and produced beats for Polyester The Saint and Gifted Gab earlier this year. Most of these can be found on SK8GOD's SoundCloud, so be sure to have a listen.

I love everything about this song, from the beat, to the lyrics, to the visuals! It gives off really chill vibes and I’m happy when I hear it. It definitely makes me want to take a load off somewhere beautiful and have a Dos Equis, or two.

Fall is my favorite season to dress for because of the color schemes it brings. I’m fond of layering, too, but most importantly because I get to wear my top coat with any and everything. It gives a very sophisticated and slimming look. On my lazy days, I can easily pair it with an oversized hoodie– it means, “I woke up late, but I still mean business.”

Faux shearling on everything!!! I adore faux shearling because I can’t actually afford real shearling. It's great by itself, but I love it paired inside of a dope moto or distressed denim jacket. Not only does it feel sensational, it’s very retro and rebellious, especially when paired correctly.

I adore dainty and vintage décor while still maintaining a modernized look. Do it yourself projects are great because who doesn’t love inexpensive décor, arts, and crafts? Nothing beats the feeling of someone being amazed that YOU made something. Before you know it, they’ll be asking for your services.

If you’re anything like myself, you’re not going to pay $24 for an article of clothing that has as many holes as a wheel of Swiss cheese. You can literally get an old t-shirt or buy one from a thrift store and strategically slit holes to get the same look.

Don’t ever play yourself by purchasing $30-$40 distressed denim shorts from the mall when you can simply run to your nearest thrift store. I buy old high-waisted denim jeans from thrift stores for under seven dollars. I cut them into shorts, and let my scissors run wild at the seams. There is no wrong way to distress denim.

Don’t shy from glancing to see what the men’s section has to offer, either. I’ve found countless 90s name brand, over sized t-shirts and sweaters that I’ve turned into dresses and paired with thigh high boots.

Be creative and thrift, thrift, thrift! Sometimes it’s not who you wear, it’s how you wear it.

Microsoft Office Excel | Creating A Budget Forecast

Honestly, it would help you to better understand Excel if you take a class for it. There's a lot of complexity that goes into each Office program, but self teaching for Excel can get pretty frustrating when it comes to appearance and design. As for organizing and retrieving information, it’s pretty self explanatory.

Here’s my budget forecasting steps: (Be sure to leave some room for after the income and expenses sections)

• Click the top, far left cell to select the entire report. With the entire report selected, click the “$” to select accounting for the entry type. Start by entering all 12 months in columns, beginning at the current month. In the next row, list current and future amounts of all income by month.

• In the following rows, list all of your expenses as credits by placing a subtraction sign in front of dollar amounts. The expenses rows should populate parentheses around the dollar amounts to show they're credits. Expenses can vary from tuition, books, rent, food, gas, and/or miscellaneous fees such as going to the movies or buying body wash.

• Once you’ve listed all of your income, expenses and left space after each, select a cell towards the end of the report. Click “find the sum” in the top right ribbon of the Home tab and press “enter” to populate the sum. Click on the populated sum and hover over it until there is a cross arrow. Drag the selected cell as far as the months go on the report and release to populate the final sums. This will help you visualize and prioritize your spending.

Do yourself a favor, get organized, and experiment with the different themes that Excel has to offer. See how creating spreadsheets can actually be really fun and rewarding.

What a time to be alive!

Modern technology is truly astonishing. Imagine never having to cook ever, again! I’m not really sure if this is a good idea for this already lethargic generation, but I’m loving this. Shadow Robot Company, a London-based firm, created the ultimate “robochef” with 2,000 built-in recipes, a dishwasher, and refrigerator. This robot records your actions while you prepare and cook so that it can convert them into highly precise movements. It also cleans up after itself and retracts as if it weren’t even there. Just pay one simple payment of fifteen thousand dollars!
