“I hear you’re the one who knows all of it,” the man in the suit began. No introduction. Straight to it.
“I never said that.”
“Were you not there all 15,000 years? “

Llewellyn Black is at the center of the favorite of my stories. The Civil and Social Engineering professor from Wales who survived the sundering of the world and helped to rebuild it.
He’s never the main character. More the Alfred Pennyworth of the longest dynasty in the world that is left.
He was also the keeper of the magics … such as they were.
I have had him as a character for 25 years and this is the first time he’s ever let me draw him.
Some faces of characters that I normally find difficult to draw, or haven't had much practice with. It's all a part of that effort to kick-start art again. This decade-long stalemate with it is getting old.
If you've known me long enough (remember me from the deviant art years) you may know who some of these are. If you are part of my rp group, you know a few more.
I am planing another set of the people closest to the ones pictured here.
Contained within these images are some important people in my creative universe. Including, in no particular order: Two thunder gods, a billion year old superhero, a villain, a great wyrm, a mech pilot (though that is the least of his abilities), a man who can see everything, and "Normal Guy".
So, back on deviant art, I used to include long character descriptions. And, to be completely honest, I miss doing that. But, since DA had my entire gallery uploaded to AI ... I've kind a been cold about posting anything there, and I've been afraid that long descriptions would go over well here.
But then, any art I put here flops fantastically, so who gives a shit? (I'd be eternally happy to answer any questions about them, though!)
I will, however, do you the courtesy of putting it under a cut.
Usagi Kodama: The billion year-old superhero. Lord of the Lagomorphs, soundbender, the third fastest and fifth strongest, and son of my universe's equivalent of Sailor Moon. The First Son of the Usagi Clan is one of twelve heroes who protect the New Edo Mechanid Kingdom. He currently lives on the 9th Blade of the Lotus with herds of bunnies.
Maxwell Yanatti: One of the Thunder Gods. I've had Maxwell for almost 25 years, and he's always been a thunder guy. The horns are much taller than pictured here, can be retracted as needed, and are a "gift" from his father. He's the math guy (because there's always a math guy) who made a name for himself by finding the mathematical frequency of angelic energy.
Torin Gothari: The former leader of a V-type ranger tribe. One that was capable of magic long before the others. He was selected by an Old Power. A great wyrm. Perhaps the THE Great Wyrm. The World Serpent. Today he protects a planet and wears his best suit to do it.
Silas Sorrow: The Villain. Or at least he does a good job of playing one for the galactic public. Mixed and created in a Trinity Lab from the samples of Torin Gothari and an ancient New Edo evil. The fuchsia hair is natural (from the evil side of his genetics) and everything is custom ordered to match. Like Kodama, he is a hero of New Edo, proving he is more than the parts that made him.
Tom Zuhan: The creator of tech that made and sustained a civilization after a worldwide cataclysm. The eyes are new. They see everything if he relaxes too much ... which he has learned not to do. He is currently one of two people in the galaxy capable of working on the Deathsmith-made Murasaki Mech Suite, which he keeps in perfect order for the pilot ... who Tom has been married to for nearly 10,000 years.
Accolon Chase: If you were to ask him, he'd tell you he's "just a normal guy". He's not. He's a god (not that he'd admit it) of Corona Station (bigger than Earth), of Metal, and Places That Are No More. I could go on, but he would probably rather I didn't, and I would just embarrass him anyway.
Godvillier "Sunny" Sunshine: The 7th son of a 7th son is the mech pilot of the group, which he considers to be a minor accomplishment. He is a prominent member of the Sunshine family, who is the first name in terraforming in most of the galaxy. He's got more charisma than he really knows what to do with ... enough that others have found it "intimidating". He is also The Locksmith. Nothing is locked away from him. He's had a bad turn with other people lately, and did not like being drawn.
Andy Stonefire: ... has seen better days. He is the other Thunder God. But has not been at it for very long, and remains a bit nebulous around the edges. He'll get the hang of it soon. He's best known for being the protector of the North American Native Nation. (In my world, they get their land back!) The grey stripe is permanent and is sometimes his only prominent feature. Here is is allowing us to see him ... and is still skeptical about it.
In honor of @jsands84 ‘s birthday, I drew a Travis. Happy Birthday!! Please enjoy a roundsome man!
This wasn’t what I originally had in mind, but Travis tends to decide how and when he appears in pictures. This is the least clothed he has ever been “in public”.
Pictured here in the middle of re-making a dead world to suit his needs.
Enkii the Helmsman. From an ancient class of beings who can synergize with ships and vehicles. They don’t so much pilot/drive as they “become” the vehicle.
He’s a little different than his predecessors and can pilot whole solar systems. They are still scratching their heads about that one on the home world.
So … I know this is lacking based on older art. But this is something and it’s better than the nothing I usually offer. I like his shoes.
On an un-related note, does anyone know how to deal with the cropping issue on bluesky? (They cropped him to a crotch-shot and I can’t seem to fix it!) Damn.
I don’t often use Charisma as a dump stat per general play style. Poor Pavos has a -1 modifier and requires props to make friends and start conversations.
New characters all have to start somewhere. A first stab at Aki: Blind God-tier Wandering Bard (I think, he hasn’t been super specific about it yet), and his custom instrument named Luwa.
If anyone is interested, I am also posting art and other stuff on bsky (lexius.bsky.social)
Sketches of a ttrpg character I was super excited about. But the other players whined about her until I was uncomfortable playing her (and the horse she keeps alive by necromantic relic).
Nema was going to be SO cool. But it was not to be. An opportunity lost.
I remember being inspired by something when putting her "look" together, but I forgot what it was. It's been a while.
