Hot take on Tfem jax (spoilers)

I fully believe that jax is tfem but thats not my hot take. I dont think they could ever transition or actually accept themself if they didnt abstract.

Jax is a coward.

When ribbit tried to comfort her and tried to be like "hey im here, its okay to be who you are with me" jax shut them out and pretended it didnt happen. That he didnt tell ribbit anything at all. That she didnt pour her heart out to them. That he is fine. Jax is still a he and he doesnt want anyone thinking otherwise.

Maybe in the real world Lee will eventually find it in himself to transition and come out with the help of her friends. That she can accept herself and heal. But jax wont. He cant.

If he did it would show that he was wrong, that he pushed ribbit away for nothing only for them to abastract. He's scared. He's scared if she became who she wants to be. She will end up like her mother.

So no i dont believe tfem jax would have happened, i do believe its something she would want. Something deep down. Like how in the last scene we see with her hugging pomni how she wanted to be better how she knew she was a terrible person but she abstracts herself anyway. She didnt think he was worthy of being her.

Jax will never be who she wants to be. Because he is a coward, because things are better without them, because she caused so much hurt, because he runs away from his problems, because they dont want to be taken advantage of, because she is scared to look into herself and see what she has become. She is scared of herself, she is scared of looking deeper than the surface and finding something she wont like. She is scared that if she does, it would prove everything her mom said was correct. She is scared that if she does come out if she does accept herself, she cant pretend everythings okay anymore. She is scared everyone would hate her. Shes scared everyone wont.

I have read the phm book and watched the movie. Book was the best peice of literature ive ever read. The movie was good but left some to be desired but i dont blame it bc it was competing with one of the best books in exsistance.
