Heyo! Any hot tips for someone new to marching with a euph? My arms are tired after like two minutes 😂

Heyo!!I know what you mean! Marching eupho is the worst. This may sound like advice you'd expect to get, but it's the only advice that has ever helped me:*Give yourself a few weeks before a parade to prepare yourself*-Take your marching euph and do an exercise where you hold it up for a certain time increment. For example, see if you can hold it up for 30 seconds. (Or as long as you can hold it up) Keep repeating this until you find yourself able to hold it up longer and longer.This will build muscle in your arm very quickly, getting you used to holding that euph up.-Another piece of advice I can offer you is to make sure you're getting enough air in your lungs when you're marching. You gotta supply sufficient oxygen to your muscles, or else it will be one hell of a parade/show. Trust me, it took me a while to get used to. Just make sure you're taking really big breaths and I think you'll be good!!-Lastly, if the type of marching euph doesn't work for you, ask and see if your school or instructor has a front belled baritone. I use one for parades, and it saves me a lot of hassle!! It's so much easier on the arms. You basically just hug it.I hope this advice was of some meaning or help to you!! Best of luck!!

See I've never liked French horns or hsvungtyo double their parts on euphonium . Their just too . . . High.

I play trumpet and i never got why everyone hated trumpets so much till i met some more players outside of my band/school and holy fuck you poor things Idk what my school does but we seem to come out less.. You know... Trumpety

tbh I like trumpets, the instruments I don't like are French horns
