So, I have decided to write actual physical letters to Paramount to attempt to make them uncancel Prodigy, in the same vein as the campaign that saved TOS in the 60s. It would be cool if more people joined in!

If you can't write or mail a physical letter, here are the people you should email:

Here is a general template for a letter or email, if you have trouble writing:

Dear [Paramount, name of executive, etc],

My name is [X], and I have been a fan of Star Trek for [X amount of time]. I love Star Trek Prodigy very much, and I was heartbroken to hear that it has been canceled and that season two will not be airing. I am writing to ask you to please reverse your decision to cancel this show, and bring it back. My favorite character is [X], and I love them because [X]. It makes me incredibly sad to think I won't see their arc be completed. There are so many amazing things about Prodigy that make it worthy of a second chance, from its breathtaking animation, to its fresh take on the Star Trek universe, to its position as a show that could introduce children to Star Trek and allow them to experience the same love for the series that I do. There is a change.org petition to save Prodigy, and it has over 16,000 signatures already. Many people love this show, and don't want to see it go. Please reconsider your decision to cancel Star Trek Prodigy.

There's a whole bunch of things that suck about the fate of Star Trek: Prodigy, but the disrespect to Kate Mulgrew's legacy stings sharply.

This article is so on point and I'm back to being furious.

Kathryn Janeway and Kate Mulgrew deserve better. This erasure stings so hard. Paramount would NEVER have done this if Jean Luc Picard was in prodigy instead.

Star Trek needs to say something.

I feel like we seriously need to talk about these gifs: The oh so gentle way he reaches out and caresses her arm, as much emotional as physical steadying. The way they turn their faces towards each other in perfect unison. The way they react to jostling somehow by going towards each other (rather than in the same direction)… like their instinct is to come together for support no matter the circumstances.

Also they both just look really pretty here with their perfect hands and her romantically starting to fall out of its confines hair and their worried little faces and perfect profiles and sad eyebrow raises and glorious cheekbones and his oh so kissable lips.
