I think a lot of transmisogyny stems from this idea that people are really scared to see a dick. Misogyny is the hatred of the female and part of women's sex-based oppression. Males do *not* experience sex-based oppression.

The oppression a male experiences for being feminine is homophobia. In the rare cases where a male successfully mimicks a female, he experiences AT MOST misdirected misogyny. Someone may aim misogyny at him, but he's the wrong target. That hatred was intended for someone female, and he knows it.

For example, if a TIM is told, "Get back in the kitchen, you stupid bitch!", why would it bother him?

Males are not the sex that was forced to cook for their families. They are not the sex that was denied an education. They are not the sex that is socialized into being small and nice to everyone. They are not the sex that is kept in check with constant threats of sexual violence. They are not the sex that can easily be killed by an angry male. They are not the sex that was kept out of the public sphere and limited to the home. They are not the sex that is constantly dehumanised.

So, while someone may aim misogyny at a TIM, the TIM will *never* experience it the way a woman does. Misogyny is validating for them. They don't feel threatened or demeaned like a woman would... they are pleased to have successfully conned someone.
