i hate the fact that spotify/yt links doxx you now. it's a feature that should've been never implemented or at the very least should've been optional. sure, you can clean your links but it's not exactly convenient and (understandably) deters most people from posting them at all. we used to share music with each other on here all the time and i discovered many great tracks/artists that way, i really miss it. why must corporate greed ruin everything & suck all the joy from art and music and human connection.

is anyone else annoyed that "ai" encompasses both chatgpt and tools we train to do repetitive tedious work for us. and by the ripple effect of articles like "scientists develop ai to detect cancer early" that make people argue for the merit of chatgpt or become anti-medicine. and by the general state of the world and society

The way feminism is talked about sometimes you'd think women were some kind of niche special interest and not like, half the population. "I can't believe they're changing this policy/doing this thing for GENDER EQUALITY" like yeah it's almost like improving the status and material conditions of roughly 4 billion people is an important goal worth some individual and collective sacrifice. Let's tax professional athlete salaries to fund universal child care. Let's have quotas for female characters in video games. IDGAF.

I feel like not enough people play with the fact that Lan Xichen knew Nie Mingjue from before he ever received Baxia, while Meng Yao has only ever known Nie Mingjue while he was under Baxia's influence. A lot of Lan Xichen's insistence that Nie Mingjue just has a bad day and isn't really like this might have to do with the fact that he genuinely used to know a Nie Mingjue who wasn't anything at all like this. While Meng Yao has always seen the anger and paranoia that is now turned on him somewhere in Nie Mingjue's eyes and his way of dealing with things. To Lan Xichen, a different da-ge just genuinely exists, while to Meng Yao, this idea is just a hypothetical.
