Noe Luksus

Well, we have a pretty big new character drop, and I am dying to deep dive! This slimy dude right here, Noe Luksus.

I kept thinking, god, this guy looks so familiar. The blonde hair and white and black outfit is giving re-verse Adrien from the Paris special, but there's something about his face shape that's totally bothering me.

And of course, it takes me til the very end for that AHA moment. 😅

But once it hit, boy, did it all start falling into place! (After much discussion this morning with friends!)

Here's what we all managed to collect:

So right out with it, Noe calls Audrey "Mother," and DING DING! Suddenly I realize why he looked so familiar! He's literally a male Chloe. And now I don't know how the hell I didn't see it sooner!

Secret Sibling stuff aside, (Like seriously? If I had a penny for every time Chloe got a secret sibling... I'd have two pennies 😂)

So now we have Chloé, Zoé and now Noé? Yeah, it follows the pattern. (Real original naming system there, Audrey.)

They all also have different last names, (Bourgeois, Lee, and now Luksus) but out of the three, I feel like Noe and Chloe look the most alike. So is AnaximAndré the daddy? I'm curious to know how the heck this all works. Okay, so how does mister greaseball fit into this whole thing?

He's trying to purchase the Gabriel company from Adrien. He owns, or is part of, a lot of companies.

Which are all arranged in the shape of a crown. (Oh yeah, that's not obvious or anything) Now it's interesting to me that if these companies are connected to the 'Kingdom' as I suspect, then is Gabriel's company not already in the web of companies? Adrien has inherited the company; we get that info in Revelator. So the Kingdom, and Noe, need to get their hands on it. And it's now been placed in the hands of a child.

Now, why this connection to the kingdom is important:

The "Kingdom" has identified Gabriel Agreste as the "Diamond" and told us that he is dead. Then they introduce the new "King of Luxury", where it hovers over the Diamond symbol, implying that the "King of Luxury" is replacing the Diamond.

Then Audrey calls Noe "Diamond dear." And yes, it's a little on the nose, and yes, it could be a nickname/pet name. (Sure.)

But you know what I think is interesting???

His name. Luksus. Luksus LITERALLY means Luxury in Danish, Polish, Norwegian, and in German its spelled Luxus, but is similar enough for me to include. (There may be other languages too i didn't look that deeply.)

His first name, Noé, could possibly refer to the biblical name Noah, (Meaning comfort, quiet, rest) but I also found that in Danish and Norwegian, Noé means "Something" or "Anything". I don't know if his first name has as much significance as his last name, but I thought I'd throw that in there.

Then it was mentioned that the symbol for his company kinda gave off a Louis Vuitton vibe, and then-- found this!!

A Louis Vuitton, (Luxury brand) bag that is literally called NOE? 🤔

Then, at the end of it all, he says this: "Now everyone in Paris knows who I am."

Because he's the new face. He's there to replace Gabriel in the public eye. They wanted his name and face out there, publicized. I dunno about you, but I think we can all say hello to our new King of Luxury, Noe Luksus.

I'm wondering if Noé is a sentimonster!

In season 5 we had the "Diamond's Dance", where "Diamond" had two meanings. Firstly, of course, it refers to Gabriel as the host. Secondly, though, the point of it was for the attendees to show off their "diamonds"—namely, their children. (Creepy, I know!)

It seems that the reason the children are referred to as such is because they were made with the help of the Diamond—as in, Gabriel offered assistance with the Peacock Miraculous. We've also seen that every amok is in a ring, and every adult attendee at the dance had one (except for Kagami's mom). And in those final moments of the episode, there's emphasis on Audrey's ring.

I'm pretty sure Noé wasn't at the dance, but Chloé was there and Zoé was invited, implying they're both sentimonsters. So it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that Noé fits the pattern. But this does seem like a relatively new phenomenon in the Kingdom (I don't think Nathalie's a sentimonster made by her dad, for instance), and Noé seems older than his sisters, so perhaps he was born before the sentimonster kids were a thing. Or alternatively, perhaps he was made during season 4 when Gabriel had the working Peacock Miraculous—although I don't know what purpose he would have been made for; this idea's much more of a stretch.

But the biggest thing: his name's an episode title. And every episode title is the name of an akumatized villain, a sentimonster, or a Miraculous holder. Notably, the one time we had a person's first name as a title, it was "Félix"—and what did he turn out to be?

Rings are the key to the sentimonster plot.

Here there be major spoilers, up through Emotion.

Gabriel Agreste sure does love rings. Not only does he wear one of the Twin Rings to control Adrien, but he turned all the Miraculouses into fourteen rings that he wears as Monarch, and now he's selling the Alliance Rings to all of Paris as his means for transmitting the Miraculous powers.

And this wouldn't be the first time he's used rings as part of a scheme. Now that the sentimonster theory is unequivocally canon, we've seen that it stretches far beyond just Adrien and Félix: the Diamonds' Dance indicated that Kagami, Chloé, Zoé, and even XY are sentimonsters too. And what do their parents have in common?

Granted, Tomoe doesn't wear a ring. But Kagami does, and…well, Tomoe did insist to Gabriel that she doesn't need to control her daughter.

I think it's obvious what I'm suggesting here. It's already pretty overt that all the rich people at the Diamonds' Dance had sentimonster children. So it's not a stretch to assume that all their amoks are in rings. Adrien's amok is in the twin rings, as is Felix's. Chloé's is in Audrey's ring, as is Zoé's. XY's is in Bob's ring. And then Kagami's is in her own ring.

That last part is the biggest hole in this, because Kagami's ring was her akumatized object as Riposte, meaning Ladybug had to break it to free the akuma. Maybe the amok wasn't broken because the ring had been transformed into a sword by the akuma, or maybe this is just a plot hole. Or maybe I'm wrong about this—I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Because this time, Marinette's identity as Ladybug isn't the biggest secret she's hiding.

Can an MCU expert please help me understand what's up with the presidents?

Okay so basically, here's the chronology as I understand it:

Barack Obama: 44th president, 2009-2013

Matthew Ellis: 45th president, 2013-2017

Donald Trump: 46th president, 2017-(2020s?)

James Ritson: 47th president, (2020s?)-2026/2027

Thaddeus Ross: 48th president, 2026/2027-2027

????

I have so many questions. Did Ellis run against Obama and unseat him, or did Obama not seek a second term? Did Trump get blipped? If so, was Ritson Trump's VP? Was 2026 somehow an election year? If not, how do we explain "they said lose the mustache or lose the election"? Who's president now that Ross is in the Raft?

My best guess for the 2027 stuff: Trump got blipped in 2018 and came back in 2023 and they had to hold an election to figure out who gets to be president now, and they decided to just have four-year terms after that for some reason?

I still can't believe we've just stopped talking about covid. it's so surreal to watch it destroy people's lives and most people have no idea what's happening. I can't believe we're putting kids in the position of getting covid over and over again.

if you have new weird symptoms or conditions popping up seemingly out of nowhere, it could very well be as a result of having had covid. if you're collapsing into bed at the end of your workweek, bone tired, it could be because of having had covid.

it causes multi systemic issues, damages blood vessels and the brain, triggers the development of chronic conditions and autoimmune diseases and more. pots and mcas are really common. symptoms can look a lot of ways because the impact of covid is multi systemic.

I know this is alarming. but I gotta say, having had postviral illness for many years, getting started on treating these things has improved my quality of life significantly. there is no cure for a lot of it, but life can still be made better with the right medicine.

Okay so I don't claim to know whether or not Dess is the Knight

But I know that Queen took one look at the Knight and immediately made an entire plan to make another one

And she never even considered the possibility that anyone other than Noelle would be the best candidate

I love how in Deltarune you have like all of this symbolism and allusions and whatnot for Noelle Angel, and you have a bunch of explicit textual stuff that kinda only really makes sense under Eldritch Angel (The idea that The Angel is its own character, not a 'role') with Alvin's dialog, And then for Player Angel you have This Door.

And yet somehow this actually does put Player Angel on equal footing with the other theories because like man wtf would this mean otherwise. Like what

I don't think this door is necessarily incompatible with the Angel not being the player! After all, Kris isn't necessarily the only person the player can control.

In the Weird Route, the soul's objective seems to be for Noelle to become stronger. Perhaps it's trying to prepare a new vessel, that can do things Kris can't.

The soul doesn't need to be the Angel, in the same way that the soul isn't Kris. But the soul could still be controlling the Angel when that door finally opens.
