Revision Thoughts -Head and Neck Anatomy + Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)(Image from Anatomy Plates from Toldt’s Anatomy, 1904)
Going to be revising gross anatomy for exams tomorrow if schedule goes to plan. Fingers crossed ofcourse, since I am still beasting through stem cells and regeneration. Just need to get epigenetics nailed and I can go on to the fun stuff. Head and neck anatomy is quite compact, sophisticated and pretty much intermeshed with a lot of structures. It never gets boring no matter how many times you look at it again. You can find enjoyment operating in this region just because of this reason. With the addition of the special sensory organs and vocal cords that is situated in this part of the body and its associated and still not fully understood physiology that lets us perceive and interact with the world, you can study this specialty for years and still be left puzzled in wonder. If I ever choose the surgical route, this will probably be my first choice specialty.
