Riley watched cautiously as the brunette approached the man, only to jump right out of his seat as he fell to the ground. She’d kissed his neck - or so she thought - beforehand; Riley knew what that meant. She wished she could feed as easily as her, but one: she didn’t want to get her hands dirty. Two: the idea of addiction was scary to her. Three: it was wrong.
She stood, shell-shocked, as the other vampire kissed her cheek, laughed and thanked her. “What the – what the fuck?” Riley stared at her, her grey eyes cold and penetrating. “You can’t just-” She shook her head rapidly, her fingers on her own neck as she looked the woman over. “Do you have any sense of discretion? Manners? Ethics?” Riley inquired, talking her down as if the stranger was a child. When in actual fact, Riley lacked manners more than anybody else and wasn’t quite ‘ethical’ a lot of the time.
But if the woman had caught Riley constantly looking at the man - not with horror, but hidden hunger - surely, she would know that they weren’t so different.
Eve laughed. “I have manners, I’m a fucking lady thank you very much.” Eve pulled the woman to the side. “Don’t talk to me like I’m a child, I am probably three times your age, and I know what I’m doing. It’s not like your on some moral high ground.” her southern drawl was becoming more and more prominent as she was getting more angry and decided that she should calm herself down and just try and concentrate on not look suspicious.
She looked over at the scene unravel. It was chaos and if she was going to get out, she had to do it soon. Still, she was abrasive about leaving this woman behind, thinking maybe she might alert everyone as she left and she was way too pretty to go to jail. “Here’s a tip sweetheart, you want to kill someone, do it full view and make a quick exit. No one suspects the pretty girl.”
“So tell me, do you have a car?”
