Hello!! This is an askblog centered around our The Owl House ocs!!!

Send asks about anything you want! We will be making content on their lore, but you can always ask for stuff about it :]

Characters:

Cosmo! His pronouns are he/they, and he is a half-biped demon-half witch. He went to St. Epiderm with Everest for a few years before making the dumb decision to join the Emperor's Coven!

Everest! Her pronouns are she/any, and she is a half biped demon-half witch. She went to St. Epiderm with Cosmo, and became a wild witch afterwards.

Cosmo, what's your opinion on the Golden Guard?

Cosmo:He's okay, I guess. I've only spoken to him directly a few times before.

C:He's, uh, a little young to be the Golden Guard. All the others were in their 20s at minimum.

C:He's chill, though. Kinda like a younger brother, y'know?

10—11 YEARS AGO, IN COSMO’S POOR, POOR DIARY.

I never really understood love. And I mean NEVER. Ever since I was little, I always thought it was something icky and gross. I never got caught up in the whole marriage craze like most girls did. 

Not until I saw her, at least.

Her name is Everest, I think. No clue if she even knows I exist, but Titan, if she isn’t the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen. 

I don’t only find her attractive, though. No, no, no.

She makes me feel those stupid butterflies in my stomach that everyone talks about whenever she does, well, anything. I don’t know why! ESPECIALLY when she plays Grudgby. I don’t know what's so special about that specifically, but it’s always so hard to keep my composure.

My friends say I should ask her out, but I feel like it’s wayyy too soon for that. I mean, she hasn’t even made eye contact with me once, let alone spoken to me!

I could just leave a note in her locker. I’m great at writing! But what if she finds that weird or something? I don’t want that to be her first impression of me.

I could also just… try to strike up a conversation. But I’m not exactly the most social guy in the world, and I doubt I can even form a sentence around her.

I could text her! I know her Penstagram! But wouldn’t that just come off as creepy, too? I mean, what normal person tracks down their crushes Penstagram just to talk to them?

I don’t know what to do. I’ve been thinking about her all day and night. Maybe I can conjure up the courage to talk to her after class tomorrow. Hopefully.

10 YEARS AGO — BOILING ISLES

Everest and Cosmo lay up on the top of a hill, staring up at the night sky, which held the moon, who was casting a glow on both faces.

“And that one—”

Cosmo pointed up at the stars. His gaze was fixated on the girl next to him. Her smile alone was enough encouragement for him to continue.

“That one’s called The Dead Man’s Owl.”

He suddenly sat up and turned to face Everest.

“No one really knows why it’s called that, but some people believe it’s connected to the story about one of the many archivists, The Executioner!”

Cosmo’s hands moved around as he spoke, exaggerating everything a lot more. A small laugh left Everest as she sat up as well.

“You, uh.. Really like astronomy, huh?”

“Yeah! I’ve loved it ever since I was younger! It’s kinda always been my thing.”

The smile plastered on Cosmo’s face was so unbelievably stupid. He couldn’t think of another moment in his life when he was this happy and not around Everest.

He fell back flat against the ground with a sigh.

“I like it a lot more when I’m telling you about it, though, cause you actually listen.”

“Yeah?” “Yeah.”

“I like listening to you talk about astronomy, Cos. It’s nice.”

Cosmo’s smile softened, no longer grinning ear-to-ear.

There was a moment of silence between the two before Cosmo broke it.

“I love you. Everest.” He mumbled. Everest paused. She’s used to him saying that, sure, but it felt… more emotional than usual.

“I love you, too, Cos.” “You hesitated.” “Oh, shush, you know I mean it.” She flicked his forehead lightly, causing a small giggle to leave him.
