Samuel’s not having a good ol’ time of it. But I’m enjoying drawing this again. Let me know what you think about the b/w format.

As promised, we’re back. I will be doing this (at this stage) every Wednesday.
Pages will be black and white until I finish and then I will probably pull it all together into a colour book. Thanks for your patience you lovely dog lovers.
Welcome back! I’ve posted this in a few other places (instagram and twitter), but it’s time I marked the moment and posted it here. I will post page 33, the first page in about... 18 months, on this coming Wednesday.
I’m a little bit ahead, so we should have a good pattern of posting again! I’m aiming for one a week, and will be posting in black and white until I’ve finished the book now.
I want to get this story finished and out into the world – I’m proud of where it’s meant to go and how it will end, so it’s time I got it actually done!
Page 32. And the end of chapter 2.
It’s been a long while between pages, so huge apologies. I didn’t realise how much I’d missed the dogs until I drew them again. More to come soon.
Page 31.
One more page to go in this chapter, friends! And then... well, holy shit, there’s so much good stuff coming.

This scene has been in my head since day one, so it’s nice to finally get to it!

I’ve been looking forward to showing a little bit more of Gemma’s time pre-disappearance of the best friends.

Happy new year!
Merry Christmas!
Back in a few days, hope your holidays are wonderful!
Page 27. Sorry about the long time between drinks. I was on holiday for two of the weeks (in wonderful Japan) and found it a bit hard to get started again when I got back.
But we’re back on track again now, just in time for Christmas!

The speed of development in recent years in Melbourne means that our apocalypse sits in a near future where almost everything is not fully built. It’s an odd dilemma for anything set in our rapidly built up inner suburbs.

A little late, with apologies.
Border Collies though. They’re smart.

Crossing the streams again, finally.
This one was a lot of fun to draw. See you on Friday!
Page 22.
From next week I’ll be posting Tuesdays and Fridays - it gives me just a bit more space for weeks like this one where time gets away from me. Still twice a week, just one more day to wait in between!
Page 21. Oh no! Also, if you’re in Australia - it’s pretty much the last week to post your vote in the marriage equality postal survey. Please: Vote Yes, pop it in the mail if you haven’t already and have a good day.

All heart strings for the little guy. Maybe Jon Hamm could do some pushups to cheer him up.
