I was thinking to myself a while ago, “Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a Dr. Seuss Challenge?” So I went and made my own challenge! Feel free to join me! *this whole set (aside from the books) can be from the movies too if you so desire! So if a Seuss movie is one of your faves you can put it under specials or your all time favorite!
Don’t feel obligated to do everything at once (unless ya want to)

Ted’s very brief “Roman and Florentine Period” occurred in January and February 1927, when he toured Rome and Florence, finally sailing for New York on February 13th. In the monograph created for Ted’s 1986 retrospective, “Dr. Seuss from Then to Now,” these two images are pictured together with the explanation that Ted’s dragon (top) was “drawn directly from the central monster in ‘Perseus Frees Andromeda’by Piero di Cosimo in the Uffizi Gallery, Florence. This was the last time that art history was to intrude on Geisel’s work.” ...and possibly the only time that Ted tried to copy someone else’s art. (source)
