Welcome to the official blog for my Evillious Chronicles rewrite! I've been a fan of this series for a long time, and I finally decided to try my hand at rewriting it!

I see all those posts where its like “evillious but they have historically accurate clothing” and I go YES I WANT TO DRAW THAT but then I remember I would have to assign everyone specific time periods and then try to find accurate clothing from said period and then I give up.

WHOO BOY, I made historical EC my Thing a couple years ago. Collecting refs for non-European clothes was a pain, but I figured out a fairly decent system for which arc was in which time period.

First/Second Period - Semi-futuristic, maybe around 2100.

Original Sin (Levianta) - Ancient Rome, from around 50 AD to 500 AD, mixed with futuristic/modern fashions. Events correspond with the Great Fire of Rome/the Fall of Rome.

Original Sin (Elphegort) - 1310s Germany. Events correspond with the Great Famine of 1315-1317.

Lust arc - 1300-1440s Turkey/Iran. Events vaguely correspond with the foundation of the Ottoman Empire and various English monarchical disputes (Empress Matilda, Isabella of France, and Henry VI).

Gluttony arc - 1400s-1550s Spain.

Pride arc - 1790s France. Events directly correspond with those of the French Revolution.

Sloth arc - 1880s Germany. Events directly correspond with those of the Jack the Ripper murders.

Envy arc - 1850s-1860s Japan. Events directly correspond with those of the opening of Japan.

Greed arc (pre-Gallerian’s death) - 1890s-1920s Russia.

Wrath arc (post-Gallerian’s death) - 1930s-1940s Germany. Events directly correspond with those of World War II.

Using that as a timeframe, I’d take into account the character’s country of origin, time period, and social standing, and then just use whatever I found online fitting that description to design their outfit/general appearance.

I feel like Nemesis deserves even more reason to hate Gallerian and want to kill him. My suggestion would be to have her believe he was responsible for her mother’s death (since at this point she still believes her mom cared for her), which would make things seem even more pointless in the end when she learns the truth.

hello! ik its a bit early but do u lnow how u plan to tackle the greed/wrath arc? its my fav and im super excited to see how u tackle it

Honestly, Grath arc is already pretty good! There's not too much I think I'll be changing about it- other than giving certain characters (Michelle, Michelle deserved so much more screentime) more focus. The biggest change I'll make is probably adding more stuff about the theater!

I want to make the sins more... unique? I mean, there are some that are already pretty much perfect in their presentation imo, but others are such a wasted opportunity (*cough,* Gluttony, *cough*). And in general, I just want there to be more focus on the interesting stuff yk? Like, how do the demons work? What's going on with Irregulars? Stuff like that-
