“DON’T NEED HAT??” Such blasphemy! “HATS BRING JOY HAPPY TO ALL!!”

Vivi then begins kicking his little feet towards the woman, as if he is trying to latch onto her face with his feet. While he is probably strong enough to escape the grip she has in her hands, his mind isn’t that focused right now.

“PUT VIVI BACK ON! VIVI CAN SHOW YOU JOY HAPPY HAT TIME!!” He is making quite the first impression, isn’t he?

    “I’m not letting you go ANYWHERE near my head!” she huffs, holding the pokémon at arm’s length away from her. It seems REALLY upset that she’s not wearing a hat... it makes her feel a teensy bit bad, admittedly, but she’s also stubborn enough to hold her ground.

    “What’s with you and hats? They’re nice and all...” Especially in Unova’s current scorching weather. “But they don’t go with every outfi—wait, why am I even trying to explain this to you right now?” She doubts this random talking pokémon cares about fashion at all.

A cobalt blue seashell is slipped into Blue's bag.

    She doesn’t find the small gift until later in the day, when she’s winding down and emptying her bag of the usual. The sharp, beautiful color of the seashell catches her eye almost instantly.

    “Pretty... but where did you come from?”

    Not expecting an answer, she shrugs and gently places it on display atop her night stand.

incoming from @aquaffensive​ — "Happy birthday, Blue!" Misty says excitedly as she dives in towards her friend for a hug. One hand is embracing the legend while the other holds an egg incubator. The egg is a deep blue and little, light blue polka dots decorate it that make it look like bubbles in open water. 💙(azurill egg)

    Blue giggles as she wraps her arms tightly around Misty. “Thank you! I’ve been so busy, I almost forgot about it.”

    With her travels and research, the summer months had crept up on her;  trust her best friend to stay sharp, though. She’s about to ask Misty to join her for cake at a nearby bakery when her eyes fall on the incubator.

    “Oh. That’s pretty.” Eyes wide, she admires the colorful shell of the egg as Misty places the incubator in her hands. “Is this for me?”

Seeing as how it’s her birthday today, maybe she’ll treat herself to something completely material and extravagant.

    “Human biting isn’t quite like pokémon attacks... People who like each other don’t necessarily bite each other HARD, just enough so that it feels pleasurable. You’d have to be human to understand, though.”

    “Well, Carmen... Sometimes humans who really like each other bite each other because it feels good.” No one else was gonna tell the Maractus so she might as well.
