While she should probably tell Hilbert about this first, he's about as subtle as a Wailord. This kind of thing needed discretion...which is why Carmen is going to Rosa first.

After so many years spent around Hilbert, Rosa is fluent in Carmen speak.

"You mean tea?" she gently corrects through her giggles, her eyes widening in interest. "What is it, Carmen? Did you see anything interesting?"

ERIS EVANS starter for @luckynatured​ i!! (no longer accepting!!)  

Eris Evans stands at the head of Unova’s Route 1 with her hands on her hips, beaming as another armload of Pokemon capsules is dumped into the massive Devon Corp-marked crate beside her. 

Under Eris’s watch, tens of local volunteers and young trainers (some swayed by money, others by fun) are scattered throughout the route, snatching up every wild Pokemon in sight with Pokeballs that the researcher had provided herself. She doesn’t even have to lift a finger as the capsules fly, nobody aside from Eris knowing (or caring) what these Pokemon will be used for. They don’t have to know, but judging by Eris’s reputation and smug smirk...this mass capture will lead to nothing good.

At this rate, however, everyone is still happily plugging away, captured Pokemon still pouring in the Devon collection box. Eris is pleased--so far, everything is going according to plan...

@luckynatured​ - Ever Seasons Adoption Drive

Serena hadn’t noticed Hilbert on the sanctuary grounds, making sure the pokemon were still doing okay with all of the excitement the day had brought. Soon enough, though, he did catch her eye, Serena glad to see him. As she made her way over, she noticed him with an Ivysaur, one of the more solitary pokemon of the conservation. The dual-type had been sitting in a patch of sunlight, but seemed attentive enough towards Hilbert, to Serena’s surprise.

“Make yourself a friend?” Serena says, noticing how the Ivysaur got up and followed in Hilbert’s footsteps, acting as his shadow, in a silly, adorable way. “He usually keeps to himself for the most part... he’s friendly with other pokemon, but he likes to sit by himself while everyone plays. He must have seen something in you, though!” Already, Serena could tell the Ivysaur was comfortable around Hilbert, able to relax and freely let his guard down around him.

“I notice he likes you a lot already, would you like to take him home with you?”

She's confident he'll understand.

He’d been snapping out of a sleepy haze with coffee, regardless of what time in the day it was. Rubbing his eyes to try to wake up and face the day already, when his phone goes off and he tries to read it.

That was definitely one way to wake him the hell up, he sets down his cup and quickly gets to texting back.
