ok but imagine au where the hbo!Snape is constantly being compared not to a bat but to a snake or medusa. Could be because of the sudden moments of his appearance or hair changing when he expresses strong emotions or whatever.

imagine him either being a descendant of medusa herself or getting so deep into dark arts his appearance started to change😳🤯(just like voldy!). in that case, we have so many more reasons for Harry to be suspicious of him. if hbo wanted to make Severus' appearance not canonical to the books then why don't they add something new to him.

plus there are now so many more connections between snape- snakes - Slytherin - Voldemort having a snake as his horcrux and his "most loyal servant" representing snake qualities.

but these are just my silly thoughts I just really love Severus Snape, and I can't help but love all of his interpretations( even tho im usually the biggest person to hate on things when they don't stay true to canon texts lol) What else to say that I never found the movie Snape being canonical to the books but nonetheless I love him so much.

But obviously, my favourite one is books potterpuppetpals version🥰

i honestly cannot get the idea of snape bowing sarcastically at umbridge out of my head. snape outrunning a hippogriff. snape writing poetry. severus "would you like me to do it now? or would you like a few moments to compose an epitaph?" snape. snape referring to himself in the third person when he comes up behind harry and ron in cos "or maybe, he's waiting to hear why you two did not arrive on the school train". snape hiding behind a suit of armor and walking out with a dramatic "it is i, severus snape!". robes billowing. the scowling. peaceing tf out by literally throwing himself out the window.

why do people hate this man. he's hilarious.
