Ludwig’s attention was quickly caught once Gilbert let out his voice. He was alarmed at first because he didn’t even hear the other enter the room.

"B-brother…!" He said. After a moment, he made himself calm. "I… well.. I am alright. I have just been having a stressful time is all. Nothing more. Don’t worry."

The German was only partly lying. The situation was of course more serious then he let on. But worrying Gilbert is something he never wanted. However with these things he had been seeing, he could care less for himself. His main concern rested with Prussia.

"Would you mind sitting with me though no less?"

'Bullshit!' he wanted to shout. The word was on the tip of his tongue, but he held it back. No, that'd approach wouldn't work. It'd most likely only make things worse. Instead, he simply gave a condensing shake of the head. "You need a vacation."

Gilbert flopped down beside him, making himself comfortable. Time to elegantly slide into this upcoming conversa-- You know what. Fuck it. "So," he said, glancing at the other, a somewhat patient look on his face. "Wanna tell me what's really bothering you?"

Any teasing statement Gilbert may have thought of voicing disappeared when he saw the look on the other's face. His face evened out into a neutral expression except for the furrowing of his brows in concern.
