Starting to cut it a bit close here I think, but the scene attack has been stuck in the sketch stage for a while and I would’ve felt pretty bad if I didn’t get it done. Think the rest of this season is going to be icon attacks to wind down

Just one icon for today. I would’ve liked to do a couple more for an off day but I was working on prepping some bigger attacks again (plus I got kcd so I’ve been a bit distracted)
really love a corruption arc where the character is trying way too hard to make it work but they're in over their head and it's uncomfortable and embarrassing and they're swallowing their own puke every time they do something awful and damp with sweat and trembling but insistent that they can do this, they want it, they're not a child, but it's like they're playing dressup in clothes that are too big for them and trying to convince their own reflection in the mirror that they fit and it's just no fun to watch at all
+ then they find inside them a capacity for cruelty far more upsettingly vicious than anyone could have imagined and decide that because they enjoy how unafraid it makes them feel for the first time in as long as they can remember it must have been their true nature all along instead of something that had to be starved in the dark until it grew desperate enough to claw its way out 🙂↕️
Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.
another addition as far as physical media goes there is the encyclopedia of national dress (that i still need to buy myself bc this kind of thing is super important to my sort of fantasy designing) but yes i do agree i wish there was EVEN MORE documentation on this

a week into artfight i would like to give out the following reminders: it is okay if you thought you were going to participate but ended up not having time. it is fine if you started out enthused and then lost steam. you do not owe anyone revenges. you are not 'behind' and you are not letting anybody down. it is a silly little game for fun. do not forget this.
