My Mythic Bastionland knights in preparation of Art Fight!

(The Angler Knight is a homebrew knight. Sagari was a Pearl Knight in the actual campaign I played him in, but I wanted to make his lore crazier so I homebrewed an entire knight + seer)

An old OC from 2019. This is his third major redesign! He was originally made with another friend's OC in mind and I only really redesigned him cuz we thought of having an art collab.

Looking for inspos and actually keeping close on my clothing references opened my eyes... I think I really need to do art studies lol

Post-canon Kelothil stuff :)

For Laethil, I gave him the dark veins thanks to Talia Vex from Into the Darklands. It's more of a Dark Lord curse thing but I figured since she's related to hags, I could give the feature of veins to post-canon Laethil. Fits his depressed state too.

For Kelothac, I wanted him to be scarred from what the Shadow Realm did to him. You're telling me he became a large fuckin skull head thing with 500 appendages and he comes out looking completely fine? Ain't no way

I do want to draw a full body of him in the future tho. Rob mentioning he had to use leg braces to stand is interesting to explore.

– I headcanon that out of all the DM NPCs, Billandra Laethil is the one that would look the most like Rob. Fitting, being the supposed BBEG if not for Lako'thec. The DM is the BBEG type shi

– The only real description of Kelothac came from Rob's short description of him during Adventures of Azerim and the BRIEF mention of Kelothac being a Svartholm Elf in a random episode of the Into the Darklands campaign. The IMPLICATIONS of him being what is Azerim's equivalent of Drows, outcast in the Darklands... It makes his goal of bringing Giants and other humanoid races together so much more impactful.

Also, I gave him green eyes like what Adam/Baradun have. I love the idea that Laethil, despite loathing Baradun for upstaging him and hating Kelothac for "spoiling" him, still sees his old friend in Baradun and is distraught once he got his empathy back. He betrayed the man who believed in him twice.

– In Azerim lore outside of SkyCraft as a game, I think Baradun is a tragic character too. Not only did he at 10 years old stop the Gerdawn siege with a show of incredible power, he was then placed in a position of power so young and lost. Kelothac, the only person who could've guided him in being a High Sorcerer, disappeared, and the one person left who should be helping him wants him dead.

I also imagine that's why Baradun treats Laethil as a "best friend." Aside from Adam joking, there is a very real chance that Baradun grew up with Laethil as his guardian since Kelothac's disappearance. There's barely any mention of his life outside of being High Sorcerer, he could be an orphan for all we know.

Gods, I would kill for an Azerim Lore Bible.

Sagari, Pearl Knight & Gagarin, Meteor Knight

PCs from a Mythic Bastionland campaign that recently wrapped up! My first character was the Meteor Knight, but she disappeared in Session 3 after she jumped in a bottomless pit that WASN'T EVEN IN THE MYTH! It was actually so fun to make a new character who never knew the past PC but had to live in her shadow after the other knights treated him like a replacement. I'm forever thankful of the homebrewn bottomless pit and the fall damage immunity I never got to use for giving me such a juicy "haunting the narrative" dynamic.

The premise was inspired from Epic NPC Man, where self-aware NPCs must hunt down the source of gamebreaking glitches before the developers shut the game down for maintenance and reset their awareness. I might make it into its own world...
