Sagari, Pearl Knight & Gagarin, Meteor Knight

PCs from a Mythic Bastionland campaign that recently wrapped up! My first character was the Meteor Knight, but she disappeared in Session 3 after she jumped in a bottomless pit that WASN'T EVEN IN THE MYTH! It was actually so fun to make a new character who never knew the past PC but had to live in her shadow after the other knights treated him like a replacement. I'm forever thankful of the homebrewn bottomless pit and the fall damage immunity I never got to use for giving me such a juicy "haunting the narrative" dynamic.

The premise was inspired from Epic NPC Man, where self-aware NPCs must hunt down the source of gamebreaking glitches before the developers shut the game down for maintenance and reset their awareness. I might make it into its own world...

My og Heated Rivalry is Rekt (2017) by Viva La Dirt League

I am so mad because I once again return to the Viva La Dirt League fandom against my will (I started actually playing TTRPGs and remembered the campaign that introduced me to the potential of D&D, making me want to finish Adventures of Azerim again)

But get this. I've been here for SIX YEARS. I was here when I desperately searched Tumblr in 2020 and there were like two generic posts, and in AO3 there were only 8 fics (special shout out to Won't Ever by MarieTamagochi, still an absolute BANGER!)

I became a really huge fan of EVERYTHING but only had my friends to talk to about it. Eventually, we moved on to other fandoms, but I once again got pulled into it in 2023 at the peak of the Adventures of Azerim campaign and got really into them (I love you Clementine Scrib). I ALSO got into Rekt which is EVEN WORSE because it's a niche thing in an already niche fandom and now that I come back IT WAS MY ORIGINAL HEATED RIVALRY. I'm going to explode. I was happy to find there were people here now though, and to be fair, I didn't do anything to contribute much.

And now I come back again. 2026. SIX YEARS. Baelin's Route is out. Kickstarter straight up hauled their work into another level. They have Viva+. They get close to a million views every video and yet NOTHING. No huge fandom boom. NO CHARACTER EDITS ON TIKTOK??? What is this sorcery

Throughout all of this, I do recognize that I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AS WELL. So take this random, out-of-nowhere rant as my promise to at least make SOMETHING in this fandom. Everything, from Bored to ESPECIALLY Epic NPC Man has so much lore for deep dive fandom analyses that it's been driving me crazy. I need this thing to have a huge fandom boom. I'M REVERSE GATEKEEPING. I'M OPENING THE GATES WIDE AND PUSHING EVERYONE IN IT
