First Impressions:
Will- Why has the game asked me to give ANOTHER name. Fine I'll just call him Varden after my old oc.
Gallica- Hi Navi.
Strohl- Is this the best friend character? Is he going to be dumb?
Hulkenberg- OMG FEMALE ELF KNIGHT. PLS MARRY ME.
Heismay- Aww cute liddle bat with old man voice.
Junah- Is this the waifu bait character?
Eupha- Oh its Yuna Expy.
Basilio- The Pinky to Fidelio's Brain
Fidelio- The Brain to Basilio's Pinky
Rella- Her design is so pretty and she seems so sad
Neuras- Oh its the Cid of this game
Louis- *shows up to a funeral* *dumps a dead human in the middle of the city* *refuses to elaborate* *leaves*
Batlin- This guy's trouble
Gris- He's going to die for sure
More- Mysterious man in a mysterious room, where have I seen this before?
Last Impressions:
Will- Actually more interesting than I expected for an Atlus protagonist. There's actually a legitimate reason for his idealism. Neat.
Gallica- My most loyalest and sweetest companion. Her sneeze is adorable.
Strohl- Honestly, if this guy had been up for the election I would have voted him. Smart, articulate, generous and learns the true value of how to rule. Also the truest bro ever.
Hulkenberg- It was good to see her accept that she wasn't responsible for the failings of others. A true knight but defo would be a helicopter parent if she ever had kids.
Heismay- My dad <3 I want to make him proud. I want to see a smile on his face from seeing what I've accomplished. His Social Link made me cry from how real it felt. The grief of losing a child can destroy a person. I'm so glad it didn't destroy the bestest bat dad.
Junah- The greatest lie she ever told was to herself. Her worth doesn't only lie in her singing. She is blunt, forward, prideful and not always able to empathise with others but the people she loves she loves with all her heart. I love Junah. She is beautiful and enduring.
Eupha- My sweet summer child. Her naviety is a positive in the world she begins to discover. Before all she knew was the looming destiny of sacrifice but when she opened her mind to other possibilities, she saw them for others as well. Pleasantly surprised by her take on religion and learning to help yourself. It was refreshing.
Basilio- I don't have words for what Basilio means to me as a person. His social link and story in general made me rethink my own life. His awakening scene is the best one Atlus has ever done BY FAR. When I was saying goodbye to everyone before the final fight I left him for last because I wanted to hear how someone with struggles similar to mine saw the future.
Fidelio- :< It still hurts. My tsundere little smartass. He was the best big brother anyone could ever hope for.
Rella- So much pain. So much strength. There are so many victims in this story but Rella choose to turn her victimhood into a sacrifice that could change how the world was turning.
Neuras- My adorable eccentric uncle who maybe knows a little TOO much but still understands he has so much more to learn. I looked forward to his chats so much and learning about his history. It shows everyone can make mistakes and learn to be a better person.
Louis- I pity him. I spent so much of the game finding his appearances oddly funny ('lost a lance?') and thinking he had some good points despite his aggressive approach but... I think he was just as lost as those he chose to criticise. He just couldn't see it.
Batlin- MY BOI IS HERE. LOOK AT HIM WORKING TO SUPPORT ME. THIS MAN IS THE BOMB.
Gris- Well he did die but his presence didn't fade away. He always felt relevant in the story (most importantly through Maria) and I appreciated that.
More- From someone I felt mostly indifferent to, his last scenes defo changed my entire viewpoint on him. His boss fight defo brought the feels and you can't help understanding his motivations even if they are wrong. Poor More. I wish we could have travelled the world together like he said.
