is she perfect? no. but neither was AANG! Aang could be impulsive! Aang could be hotheaded! Aang could be SELFISH! Aang could make mistakes! Aang was an amazing avatar but he wasn't perfect and neither was Korra and the enemies they faced were poles apart and yes, I think each one of them would have dealt with each others enemies/battles differently but not because I think Korra would be better at defeating Ozai or because I think Aang would be better at dealing with the spirit world stuff it's because Korra and Aang are two very different people who grew up in two very different worlds with their own unique challenges

on the .01% chance Korra actually did turn evil and blow up the world then I'm on the sidelines cheering her on. honestly go girl you had the odds stacked against you as a brown female bisexual character and you tried your best and these motherfuckers were still ungrateful so show them what 10,000 years of darkness and chaos really looks like

A cultural consultant who was an actual professor in the field.

A blind consultant to advise on how Toph would behave or move.

Consultants for martial arts, including martial artists, stunt coordinators, etc.

It's unspeakable how insulting in comparison that "According to CHATGPT" part of the panel is.

Just the sheer fact that they chose to write that instead of, IDK, citing the sources the LLM inventedlisted? That they felt comfortable writing that?

That's even ignoring them yapping about how they are shying away from real-world allusions and creating their own language and removing all those real-world references that grounded the setting.

I wish the movie would've focused more on the grief that Tagah felt. He processed the genocide of his people in a completely different way then Aang did and it would've been interesting to see why.

I do think they were able to show the pain he felt very well, but they end up reducing his violence to the result of him being "corrupted" by pain. They then paint Aang as the "good one" because he was not corrupted by the same pain.

So they stripped away the nuance of mourning for the sake of having a "bad guy" and pinned two survivors of genocide against each other. When the could have allowed them to heal together and teach that anger is a very normal part of grief
