i’m sick and hate being sick, so sasi sick headcanons for the soul
- it’s canon he loves to be pampered when sick lol, and ya know what? good for him.
- even though he loves being taken care of, he actually won’t accept that he’s sick very easily because “heroes don’t get sick! they keep fighting!”
- it’s basically a battle to get him to admit that he’s sick, then and only then will he rest. hardheaded man
- when he’s on bed rest, he’ll have an entire pile of art supplies, books, puzzles, notebooks for ideas, etc near him because he likes to keep himself busy. Almost every time though he doesn’t even touch any of it, instead binging disney movies because he just doesn’t have the energy.
- he’s usually not sick for long, and bounces back pretty fast
- Oh poor guy hates being sick. The biggest “put others life vests on them first” man is sick and will hide away so no one else gets sick. Janus gets soooo mad
- he’ll try and hide that he’s sick and will continue to do what he normally does. When he thinks he won’t be able to hide it, he just holes up in his room.
- at first, he hates when someone else has to take care of him because he feels so awful about it. but after a lot, and i mean a LOT of convincing, he’ll accept it
- he always bakes or makes something nice for whoever helped him afterwords
- when he is finally convinced to rest, he’ll usually sleep the whole time or color while watching disney
- Despite popular belief, the minute he feels a sniffle, he’s on bed rest.
- “Working on low energy is not optimal.” he says as he puts on his onesie and binges Doctor Who
- He’ll never admit it, but Logan doesn’t actually mind being sick. Of course he hates how it makes him feel, but it is the one time he can actually justify resting. He will allow himself to indulge in his actual interests a little
- being sick for him is like resting with purpose. he has to so his body will get better. it would be illogical to not do so
- he hates help from others though. Of course they cannot be near him, or else they would get sick. (totally not because this is one of the few times he can actually justify having alone time)
- he will not admit he’s sick to ANYONE (except Patton.)
- he’s scary, tough, and constantly on watch. There’s no way he can be sick! he says as Patton forces him to lay down.
- he absolutely hates being sick because then he’s not at his best and can’t help Thomas as well as usual. It usually takes another side to tell him they’ll stay on watch for anything dangerous just so he can rest.
- when he finally admits he’s sick though, finally lets himself rest, he’s out like a light. he sleeps the entire time. he once slept for a solid 27 hours, and would have more if Patton didn’t wake him up out of fear.
- when he’s sick, he’ll sleep anywhere. The couch, another side’s room, the staircase, seated at the kitchen table, once even on top of the fridge. no one knows how he got there.
- you’d think being sick would make him finally take off his jacket, from fevers or being too hot. But no, he actually just gets colder
- self isolating king over here. Bro will stay in his room the entire time
- Janus, like Logan, doesn’t mind being sick. He’s the embodiment of self preservation and the biggest self care supporter in the mind scape. So he doesn’t mind having to take a step back and rest
- While he doesn’t mind having to rest, he absolutely HATES how he feels and will make it everyone else’s problem. that’s one of the reasons he stays in his room the whole time.
-his snake traits make him cold blooded, so he never really gets fevers. he does get pretty severe chills though. when it’s really bad, he will go to Remus for some extra body warmth. Only because Remus won’t baby him, and is usually equally gross so he won’t care.
- he also stays in his room the whole time because he just can’t be bothered to maintain his villain persona and style when sick. he’ll wear the stupid snake slippers Remus got him if it means he’ll be warm.
- For someone who absolutely adores the gross and uncomfortable, Remus hates being sick. He only likes things being gross when he’s in control of it.
- he also hates it because he’s not at the top of his game. usually, he’ll cartwheel, run, jump, and stomp all over the place. but when he’s sick, he can barely raise a amputated finger.
- he’ll usually be forced by Janus to stay in bed the whole time, which he is verrrryyyy vocal about hating. he is definitely not quiet when sick
- he’ll only eat certain foods when sick as well. they’re all disgusting and shouldn’t be consumed by humans of course, but he becomes very picky
When someone else is sick
- he’s chivalrous, a hero, the ultimate help, but the poor guy is absolutely squeamish and is the worst side to go to when sick
- he will grab whatever the sick side needs, help as much as he can, but will always grimace when being near. He can’t help it and gets so embarrassed. He truly means well, but he also just hates gross things.
- he will make a pretty good pillow fort for them to rest in though. he may just not be near when they’re in there
- the absolute best at bedside manner. He will cook them whatever they ask, grab whatever they need, rub their back whenever they ask.
- but he also panics the entire time. Anytime someone sneezes, he’s terrified that they’re getting worse.
-he can also be a bit much. He means well and it’s always out of love, but his papa bear instincts can be overbearing. get it? bear, over bearing-
- he has the absolute worst bedside manner, but man does he get the job done. He’s never rude or cold, just very,,,,sterile? he just states the facts.
- he tries his best to bring comfort, but they all know he’s much better at knowing which medicine or treatment they need than giving hugs. It’s really the thought that counts
- he isn’t as bad as Roman, but he will make an effort to stay healthy. Masks, gloves, you name it.
- if you think Patton is overbearing, Virgil is much, much worse. But he is definitely prepared for the worst case scenario at least.
- he’ll jump the second someone coughs, panics on which medicine to grab and usually just brings them all.
- he also makes an effort to steer clear of anyone who’s sick, because what if they have something deadly? or what if it’s super contagious? or what if-
- his anxiety makes him go down rabbit holes on WebMD, making him and whoever is sick worried they have something deadly. He’s not allowed on WebMd anymore after the incident.
- He acts like he doesn’t care and that he’s too grossed out to help, but he’s usually the most help. He is also the one who usually gets the other sides to admit they’re sick.
- He’ll complain the whole time, but checks for fevers and grabs their favorite snacks. He fluffs their pillows and claims it’s only because he doesn’t want to hear them whine about being uncomfortable because it’s annoying.
- he has wayyy to many blankets, so if one just so happens to land on a resting side, then it’s definitely not his fault.
- he’d never admit this to anyone, but Janus actually likes taking care of people.
- the others will never be made to feel like they’re a burden or disgusting when Remus helps, because he thinks them being sick is the coolest thing ever! which is honestly worse
- usually, he has no idea how to help or what to do, so he’ll grab whatever he’s told to grab. He doesn’t care about getting close or infected, so he’ll do whatever is needed.
