Threll honestly hadn’t been aware he was staring as he simply had gotten stressed and began to space out. A common thing for him to do. He jumped a bit and he quickly took on the expression of embarrassment behind his mask.

“I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to be staring, I was just spacing out!” He could tell the other was agitated so he subtly made himself look smaller so he wouldn’t be seen as a threat.

━ ♞ Had that Galra... readily APOLOGIZED ?? A confused hand moved to scratch at their scalp, tugging their other HAND with them in the gesture, their inner DILEMMA clear as day. Was that a laugh he was hearing? Of course he’d get laughed at. Especially with the way he’d just gotten kicked off his feet, and rolled from his back onto his stomach from the impact. Yeah, of course that’d be funny to someone who isn’t himself.

Of course, his insult comes back to bite him in the ass. Man, they sure did like using that word didn’t they. Not that he can do anything about it right now. Not in his current situation at hand. His chest felt winded still, air still hard to inhale and regulate. But that’s just what that kick was meant to do, right? Knock him over and wind him.

How many more are in the vicinity? He’s not sure. A shake of his head is given but it’s probably not registered. Karey can’t speak when he can’t even breathe right but he’ll probably be made to open his mouth sooner or later.

Does he know the surroundings well enough to guide them? He’s not sure why he’d want to, but he’s certain if he says no he might die. And that’s something he doesn’t want to do. A wheeze is made, followed by a wince as he presses up with his hands off the ground, a cough being made from the exertion.

“Like hell I’d guide you.”

And like that, he spits right at the beginning of the other’s foot.

━ ♞ With THAT rude snippet, the Nal moved to dig his heel into the small of the other’s SPINE. For a NAL, such a spot might have been considered affectionate, even loving - thankfully, the human didn’t seem to know MUCH about them, allowing the gesture to slip with little awkwardness aside from the low GROWL of anger that rose from the back of their throat.

━ ♞ It was a NATURAL movement for Arc, digging their heel in. It wasn’t AFFECTIONATE in the slightest, despite the Nal’s undeniable sense of ‘tough love’. Being BRANDED as a child was something they’d grown unfortunately aware of - Parents were as POSSESSIVE of their children as their children were of their parents. It was an odd cycle, something they never really got the chance to EXPERIENCE for themselves.

━ ♞ No one wanted a MUTANT for a CHILD, after all.

━ ♞ Pushing away the rueful THOUGHTS, Arc found themselves drumming their fingers against the fabric of their jacket. They could have shoved the other’s face firmly into the DIRT more - maybe enough to make him choke on the VILE soil he walked on. It would have been ironic ; CRUEL and inhumane, but IRONIC all the same.

━ ♞ For a moment, they legitimately considered it. The sound of someone choking had always been a pleasant thing to hear on dreary days. Alas, that would have meant ENDING the bit of entertainment currently under their claws. The last thing they wanted was to be sentenced back to BOREDOM.

━ ♞ NO, they told themselves. They couldn’t do THAT, Gods forbid they would end up bored and dull again.

━ ♞ ❝ How does that DIRT taste ?? ❞ Was that the right word? Hopefully. The diimaja rarely translated well ( ‘ planet dust ‘ - they never CLAIMED their language was graceful with its NAMING ).
