Ravnur and Tova met during a Moonfire Faire a few years ago and became immediate friends. Both shared a thirst for sparring, pushing each other to their limits, and just living in the moment. Both no longer called the Golmore Jungle home but yearned to hear their mother tongue spoken by another.
For Tova, Ravnur was the first Viera man he'd seen after years of wandering, an all-important piece of home in a foreign land that struck straight to his heart. For Ravnur, Tova's steady companionship and no-strings physical connection would eventually allow him to heal just enough to open up to their other friends.
Their friendship started on a dare, a friendly race to the top. Now, they travel together in a light party as the Warrior of Light and his melee fighter.

Alaqa knew her adventuring companion had a twin brother named Mazeh'a. They had even crossed paths once or twice. Yet when she heard he was a skilled botanist, she wondered what else there was to know.
They met on the outskirts of Gridania. He generously gifted some hand-made gloves fit for working outside. They worked together for an afternoon, gathering and tending to plants in the area.
The moments they shared together that day left a deep impression. Spending time with him was like a breath of fresh air, and she found herself thinking about the encounter for many days after that. Something about him made her heart beat faster with an excitement she couldn't name.
Though it would be a long time before they ever shared a kiss, this encounter was the beginning of a long and fruitful bond between them.

In the aftermath of the Battle of Shaaloani, several Alexandrian robotic sentries were observed to have been torn to pieces by large clawlike appendages of a type unfamiliar to the area wildlife. Though some civilians expressed fear at the possibility of an unknown, dangerous predator, the mystery was ended when Warrior of Light Elilgeim Wiltarwyn admitted to having ridden her Eorzean draught chocobo into battle as she participated in the defense of Sheshenewezi Springs against Zoraal Ja's invasion. Witnesses testified to hearing her shout evacuation and defensive orders from astride the beast before hopping off and letting it dive into the fray itself, cheering it on with shouts of "[expletive] 'em up, Tycoon!"

It has become a common sight across Etheirys, an adventurer and their trusty chocobo. It seems there are as many different personality types amongst chocobos as there are adventurers.
Some are quiet, and enjoy a good rest.
Some are helpful, and happy to serve.
And some enjoy having a bit of fun at their owner's expense.

Heatwave + Melting + "It's too hot..."
Ravnur is pretty hardy against the heat but even he will seek the comfort of shade when it's simply too hot to function. Mazeh'a will do the same, but also make it everyone else's problem.
Another lovely summer is upon us, and that means it's time to celebrate with yet another xiv event!!
Since the plan is to stretch it throughout summer, I’m doing a longer “deadline” for each prompt + an opening and closing day. This way, we can star/end together but still have our own pace in betweens <3
