At first, I genuinely didn’t know what to say about it, because a lot has been said and already made.
What changed was how deeply authentic this film was made. I dug deep and found how raw and realistic it is in terms of their actual lives. Street children were actually real, and how, even after the film got recognition and praise, their lives were still almost the same & did a bit better. They loved working in the film so much! The whole cast and production team were so loving and effyingly talented.
P.S: they made a fund raiser for the children of streets and it helped almost 70,000+ children.
Raghubir Sir’s acting was so madly impressive that I couldn’t even recognize him (he was very young), even the other actors did such a phenomenal role.
Mira Nair’s direction and vision were so on point and much needed in terms of Indian films. The aesthetics and authentic storytelling created by Sooni Taraporevala, are equally brilliant.
The end scene was something that I felt the most. The film begins with Krish and ends with him reflecting upon everything he went through even though he tried his best to save his close ones, and yet he was still alone.
