Sorry i haven't been posting that much life has gotten busy, hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Here is a picture of the newest addition to the plant grow tank Pea Puffers! Their are 4 adult puffers in the tank. They settled in almost immediately and they actually had spawned in the first week i had them. I have counted three fry swimming around they are about 2-3 weeks old! So lets hope i dont kill them because fry are a new thing for me. Sorry the pictures aren't great they are terrible to photograph.

The newest plant experiment!

Carpeting dwarf hair grass aka "eleocharis acicularis "mini""emersed, it is also similar to growing plants the "dry start method". The plants are in about 1" of sand with root tablet fertilizers, as well as just enough water to cover the sand and plastic wrap over the top to keep the humidity in. The light is on for 12 hours a day because growing emersed their is little to no chance of algae. They have been in the containers for about a week and i can already see new growth starting!

Merry Christmas to me!!! I got a 20gal long to use as a plant grow out tank (i sell plants on the side)! So my 30 gal went from pic 1-2 their is still a lot of bolbitis heudelotii that i have to separate out to sell, but soon i will be able to actually get back to aquascapeing my 30gal!

So my therapist has a betta (Dorito) in a bowl. She cleans the bowl at least twice a week and Dorito seems at least somewhat healthy, but I want to tell her at some point about how she could improve his living conditions. She’s a very sweet person and I know she’d do what she can to make Dorito thrive, but I’m scared of coming off as rude or arrogant? How can I phrase it well?

I would talk about it as an educational or informative conversation as well as expressing concern. I would educate them that bettas should be kept in tanks bigger than 2.5 gallons at an absolute minimum but i always like to say 5 gallons or more. All fish require a filter period, it helps maintain the tank and keep the ammonia, nitrate and nitrites at a healthy level as well as waist removal. With out the filter they suffer from ammonia burns and it also lowers their life span. bettas require a heater because they are a tropical fish and need to be kept at a temp 75f to 80f. I would then mention that with a filter tank maintenance could be reduced to possibly once a week and that it would not require hardly any more effort then the bowl. In the end it results in a happier, healthier and more active fish. But ultimately you cannot force people to change unfortunately and the final decision is up to them on what they do. If you have fish or a friend does you can offer to donate some supplies to help them out.

I see a grow tank im my future! This is what the tank looks like after a massive trimming, bundled plants and loose EVERYWHERE! Now to to sell them off haha, good thing i created a facebook page to help with that.

Well the inevitable happened... i wasn't really looking to get another betta this soon but i happened upon this little guy and couldn't resist. His tail is a little tattered and he has a little bit of stress stripes but he is settling in well. No name for him yet so help me out you guys and give me some suggestions

I went home this past weekend for Thanksgiving and got to soak in the beauty of my home town and the breath taking landscape. It reminds me to step back and take a breath, but it also provides me with so much inspiration.

Thought i would do a check in with you guys and see if their is any thing you guys would like to see more of in my content. How to's, care program or sheets for my plants or my inhabitants, designs, educational; anything at all give me some suggestions on what you would like to see more of, inbox me or comment on the post

Another change to the tank; I changed out the spider wood on the left of the tank for some manzanita wood, i feel it better balances out the tank from the heavy planting and the heavy hard scape on the right of the tank. I also feel that it doesn't distract the eye away like the spider wood did

Did some more work on the tank, i added another small bag of sand to build up the edges around the hobbit hole and replanted some plants on the hill to fill it in some more.

I moved into a new apartment this past weekend so my tank took a bit of a hit in the moving process. I had some plant die off, plants that got snapped, and substrate shifting. First picture is the aftermath of the move, second is after i did some maintenance on the tank. I shifted some sand back into place and added more sand, replanted plants that became uprooted or shifted, I also trimmed plants that had some die off. I also added a brand new black background to the tank to make it pop more! Their is still some more work to go into it before its back to its full glory but we will get their in the end!!!

I need your help fellow fish friends, i am debating on keeping or removing the wooden hardscape on the left and would like your options on what you like.

If I remove it it would be filled in with mid ground plants to better transition the foreground to background plants

Going with the flow

I have decided to go a diffrent direction for awhile since Vincent passed. I got a pompom crab for the tank, he is super shy and a crafty bugger but he is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Tonight is a sad night, Vincent has passed away. The last few months he has been starting to have issues with more and more growths appearing on him and I believe to be many internally too, the worst one being growing behind and around his eye. I believe it had grown to big and put pressure on his brain. He had began struggled the last few weeks and has been in a small breeding box, the last few days he rapidly deteriorated and ultimately passing away.

He will be greatly missed, swim in peace beautiful boy
