Well the inevitable happened... i wasn't really looking to get another betta this soon but i happened upon this little guy and couldn't resist. His tail is a little tattered and he has a little bit of stress stripes but he is settling in well. No name for him yet so help me out you guys and give me some suggestions

What two weeks of care can do... when we first saw Dude at petsmart, we already thought he was beautiful, with a very distinctive line/stripe coming down from his dorsal fin on his right side. Now that we’ve had him for two and a half weeks, he’s a completely different fish. His fins are full and not torn, his colors have become much more vibrant, not to mention he’s happier! He would barely move when we got him, he would only sit at the bottom of that stupid cup- now he’s so active and swims around a lot, and loves to hide in his rocks.

These beautiful boys and girls are being abused at pet stores, and it breaks my heart

The difference a year can make.... poor Annabelle is a dragonscale-halfmoon-mutt but still got the genetic problems of dragonscales 😢 she’s really not doing well after two years, her scales grow over her fins and her eyes are definitely not as sharp as they once were (to the point she nipped any of her fins she saw). Really not doing well 🥺
